Not in Markham. But we went to Torrance barrens. Felt like half of the city was there. It’s still visible today also. My suggestion would be to go Collingwood beach where it could be less crowded.

I believe the speed limit near that section of hwy 7 is just 50 kmph, though it is 60 kms few kms up and down of that intersection. I notice that people do not slow down when speed limit comes down from 60 to 50 for a smaller stretch of a longer road. Still white suv fault though. Unfortunate to happen on such a minor intersection compared to other major ones like McCown or Warden. And really good on you for doing what you could

Were you able to avail underground ticket for Colosseum? . We tried our best waking up every day morning 3:00 am EST only to see tickets being sold even before the time slots get opened.

Good that you told about mental toughness coach. We did have one, Paddy Upton who was recommended by head coach Gary Kristen and the duo helped India to win 2011 World Cup. Maybe that’s sometimes a team like India would need always given the constant attention and pressure on Indian team all the time.

Congrats. I have the exact one, sports black but 2022 model. Saw the 2025 forester in Toronto Autoshow. I did not like it as well. The updated infotainment screen in Crosstrek looks cool though.

It’s always better to take a second even during yellow before turning left. Many times I have seen drivers speeding up ahead when the signal comes close to zero or in yellow. Also, Yellow light in major intersections are normally long enough for at least two cars to turn left. Hope no one is severely hurt.

Apart from their bowling, they are also quite handy with the bat. If they play along with Ollie and Mark wood, that would make a pretty decent batting lineup lower down the order.

Not giving Jim’s spot when Jim was back from Philly. Not the worst thing he did but yeah.

Not sure where you drive but in Canada, winter tires are must. They are designed specifically to provide better traction and grip during snow time. Subaru’s all season tires are of top notch quality and yet better to be safe than sorry.

You’re right it happened on 2008. Poor memory on my part. And even in that series India did take DRS which predominantly went in favour of SL and some of them had to do with Umpire’s call.

Also a variant of Umpires call “Soft signal” had been that caused considerable confusion which was also scrapped recently.

And even Virat Kohli very clearly articulated two years ago that, If the ball is clipping the stumps, it should be out - whether you like it or not you lose the review

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/ind-vs-eng-2020-21-1st-odi-virat-kohli-umpire-s-call-right-now-is-creating-a-lot-of-confusion-1256275

Umpire’s call has always been causing debates. May not be on the scale of mankadding or other controversies. And it has been discussed continuously in every ICC technical review meeting. When I said nowadays, yes, I was referring to events happened in World Cup and last Ashes series and the current one.

Ever since DRS introduced, umpire’s call has been in debates. India felt hard-done by it during its introductory series against SL in 2006 where Mendis and Murali got more decisions in favour over Kumble.

One of the strong reasons Dhoni and Sachin were against DRS was Umpire’s call. There was an LBW decision against Ian Bell in 2011 World Cup where the impact distance was considered as a criteria for final verdict caused uproar as well. It was an another version of Umpire’s call.

And up until recently, Umpire’s call was decided based on what percentage of ball was hitting on the stumps which raised even more discussion when Kohli was adjudged LBW in 2019 wc semi final against NZ. Many Indian fans still feel hard done by that dismissal.

Point is Umpire’s call on marginal decisions will always cause more debates instead of having straight forward decision making like whether it hits the stumps or not. I do agree that Umpiring has always been subjective but efforts should be made that at least there is a consistency. For eg, within a same match Umpire’s call might favour one team over another. I believe that’s what Stokes would have also mentioned.

Finally a sensible talk from an English player in a while. Crawley’s dismissal was very marginal and touch unlucky. Also he is not blaming DRS for the loss in that interview itself and Umpire’s call is causing more debates than clarity nowadays.

“The more the merrier” - Yet another Moral Victory coming up for England. Do these players have any idea on how Indian pitch behaves in Day 4 and 5??

Details are mentioned in the article. It’s on Kennedy rd and 14th ave. I guess it’s the Esso gas station opposite to Chiang Rai restaurant complex.

I always slow down at that mini intersection because I can’t really trust drivers that they stop at stop sign. Also drivers from west and east of that intersection confuse me as there is always some competition between them on who gets into the left most lane of that intersection to get into Hwy 7 east. Sometimes I take the bullock drive entrance. It’s pretty hassle free during peak hours.

Lol Clarke ya. At least now rank tuners are expected in India. When India dished out that pitch in 2004, Ponting was so pissed off. It was funny to read his press conference the next day.

Yeah but yet India still won that series 2-1. Winning a test match, fine but to win a series in India, opponents needs good spinners and quality bowling lineup that can challenge the team consistently over after over and session after session like 2012 England or 2004 Aussies when they had McG, Warne, Gillespie etc. I still think India would win the series.

No disrespect to Hartley but my point was whether he would be a consistent threat across next 8 innings. Spinner taking five fer in Indian pitches are no longer difficult. Even Root, Elgar have done that. But if Hartley could pose that threat over next four tests that’d be intriguing for viewers so I’d be glad as well.

Last time England won with Swann and Panesar and Anderson bowled well in Eden gardens. It was not just with KP and Cook alone. I don’t think the current English bowling lineup can pose consistent challenge to India over next four tests.

Here is a fun fact. In 2003 wc against Ned Sachin got out to Tim De Leede who is the father of Bas de leede who got the wicket of Rohit Sharma in 2023 wc. Would have been more fun had he got the wicket of Kohli. That would have been awesome father son duo.

Sachin has more five wicket hauls than Warne in Odis.
