Once they have to poo.... all hell breaks loose. During the 'poo cycle' sloth mom's have been observed abandoning their 'baby sloths' to get high on Xanax, or as mentioned, leaves and branches... and get completely stoned, only to abandon their babies mere feet above the ground.... there subject to Jaguars, snakes, and the other riff raff of the jungle floor. You can hear in the audio the instructor state "my aircraft" signifying he was taking control. The 2022 incident you reference had a single pilot aboard.
