I was wondering what your favorite gratin/doria recipes are? It's one of my favorite dishes in Japan and I tried recreating one and it failed miserably! Thanks!
We have to remember that Linda had the advantage of being Lucifer’s therapist and seeing the inner workings of his mind whereas Lucifer never really opened up completely to Chloe. Also the devil reveal was coupled with Chloe finding out she had almost married a man who was the first murderer and a criminal mastermind. That is certainly a lot to handle at once and I can emphasize with her. I can see how she could be easily manipulated in that state.
If you watch S4E2 again, you can actually see Chloe push against Kinley a lot. Even before she tried to spike Lucifer’s drink, her hand shook uncontrollably and then she had the big reaction when the music turned on. Her gut was telling her that she was wrong despite the very rational arguments Kinely was making.
Yeah, I didn’t like that Chloe did not listen to her gut more but it makes sense with the big picture. Like someone mentioned above, though, you will root for Chloe towards the end.
I just finished rewatching S4 again so you can say I thought about this a lot! 😅
Thanks! Wasn’t quite sure where to start looking!
Download the Tokyo DisneyResort app (available for both Apple and Android) to plan your trip. What I really like about this app is how you can look at past trends to predict what the waiting times will be like when you go to the park. With that being said, I would definitely go on a Sunday to get a headstart on exploring the park. Instead of focusing on rides that day, enjoy the sightseeing, parades, and shopping. We went on a Sunday a couple months ago and while lines can get long, they do die down around 8pm.
My 3 year old absolutely loved Aquatopia, we even rode it twice in a row. She also enjoyed all the rides in Arabian Coast and Mermaid Lagoon, with Jasmine's Flying Carpets and Scuttles Scooters being the highlights.
Nope. I just got back from TDR last week. My daughter is 3.5 years old and she didn't need to buy tickets. Also, train tickets are free for kids under 6.
Have you been to Cafe Curucuma? It's in Itoman I believe and has really good Thai fusion food and an amazing view of the ocean!
In Carli Bybel's latest Q&A when she addresses her breakup with Brett, she said something along the lines of "You shouldn't stay with someone just because you have things together". They had a beautiful, customized house and four cats together, not to mention the "perfect" couple image that her viewers are so used to. I know a lot of viewers had mentioned that they don't want to believe in love anymore due to their breakup, so it was nice to hear Carli bring up the reality that sometimes things just don't work out.
I'm part of a facebook group of beauty bloggers and its a frequent post where people are forming instagram like and comment pods (I never join those). Some rules are crazy; for instance, you have to like and comment a photo within a one hour time period and/or you can only drop your links, comment, and like others during certain hours of the day. I can't imagine keeping up with that just to get your engagement up on instagram while also living your real, everyday life.
I think it was the last GRWM that Melissa Alatorre uploaded, but in a vlog video she posted beforehand, she mentioned she filmed a GRWM but the audio wasn't working. So later that night, she filmed it again and it seemed like it was the last thing she did that day! I honestly don't mind but it was kind of funny to me that she still called it a GRWM at that point. But again, what else would you call it?
Are exchanges free? My packing slip said the postage is not prepaid.. I also underestimated my size for the Stripe Slinky Dress! (Which I love despite being a bit too tight!)
I love Amber and her videos are such a refreshing change of pace to what I usually watch on Youtube. I am actually not surprised she blew up so fast because she certainly has that "it" factor. She has a great sense of humor and I love how she doesn't care how she looks when she is vlogging in public.
Woah, what happened? I recently started following her vlog channel and have been a huge fan of them!
I went to Disneyland on Thursday and DisneySea on Friday and Saturday. For DisneySea, I felt like it was maybe a little bit more crowded on Saturday compared to Friday, but the waiting time for the most popular rides did not change. Also, DisneySea is a very spacious than so it didn't feel cramped with people, which helps a lot. All in all, weekends are not horrible and it really depends on the season you go!
Definitely do all your shopping before closing time because the stores get insanely crowded towards park closing time. We stored our stuff in lockers so we didn't have to carry anything around throughout the day.
Keep in mind that during my recent visit, I went before the Japanese were on summer break!
Grab a fast pass for the Toy Story Mania ride and the Nemo's Sea Rider one. If you had to choose, definitely the Toy Story Mania because the lines never got below 90 min. We waited in line for the Nemo ride when it was set at 50 min but it was more like 40 min so it wasn't that bad. Other than those two rides, I think the rest of the lines are manageable and doesn't get too crazy in wait time. I didn't get to ride Tower of Terror though so I'm not sure what the lines were like. As for DisneyLand, we only grabbed fast passes for Space Mountain and BuzzLighter Astroblasters. The rest of the park was not bad but we wished we grabbed fast passes for Splash Mountain so we ended up waiting about an hour.
As for food, you must try the smoked chicken leg in Lost River Delta and the pork rice roll in American Waterfront. I don't eat popcorn but you should definitely check out the different churro flavors! They were all delicious!
I think 3 days is good or 2 days with a night pass for the 3rd day. My sister and I went back to DisneySea on a night pass to do everything we wanted to (and this was on a weekend too!). But yeah, 4 days is definitely enough time to do everything you want to at both parks!
What are you planning to buy? I spent about $50 on food souvenirs and about $100 on stuffed animals/stationary/etc. I am a sucker for anything cute so I probably overspent lol. The Duffy and Friends character goods were too cute to pass up and they were only available at DisneySea!
Any other questions, let me know!
If you do make it, make sure to share on this subreddit! I wanna know how it went!
Thanks! Melon Pan is actually my husband's all time favorite pan so this will be a nice birthday treat!
Yeah, I don't blame Carli at all for snapping about the product. It's her sister and how is she supposed to say no? Anyway, I agree that the whole thing just felt really awkward. Carli also said she would check back in after 16 hours but never did.
Also, is cosmetic grade alcohol really any different from alcohol that is not designated for drinking? I did a quick search on google and it looks like cosmetic grade and denatured alcohol is the same; so the alcohol I use in my lab is pretty much what is used in the lipsense products if I'm interpreting it correctly..
Thanks for the suggestion! I will definitely try this recipe out!
I live nowhere near a Japanese style bakery but I will have to try making my own! I have a feeling it won't be the same though lol
I just went this past summer and I don't quite remember how much I spent. I went with my mom, sister, and toddler daughter so I'm assuming we would have spent more than you would for just you and your boyfriend (I had to buy a princess dress and Duffy&Friends stuffed animals for my daughter, after all lol)
However, if you just consider what my sister and I bought throughout the day, I think it would be well under 200 dollars. Tickets are about 50-60 dollars per person. I suggest snacking throughout the day because DisneySea has so many yummy snack stands (churros, chicken legs, pork rice rolls, steam buns, etc) and they can cost up to 500 yen each (my sister and I shared food). If you do decide to eat at like a food court setting a meal can cost up to 1000 yen. For souvenirs, we spent about 5000 yen and that includes about an assortment of chocolates, candy, and Japanese sweets. We bought a couple things for ourselves but mostly for our friends and family back home. But we are a sucker for all the cute stationary items so we tried to budget more for those (for example, a stuffed animal keychain was about 800 yen). Sorry I don't quite remember what we spent for those items that much..
We spent about 12 hours at the park. We also went to Disneyland the day before and purchased night passes for DisneySea the next day. Definitely spent the most of our money at DisneySea.
Also, there is an extra cost for using the Mickey Train to get between parks and hotels.
I loved Nicole's energy in this video! I can tell she really loves to do Halloween looks and puts a lot of effort in them. I like that she started with something quite simple! Can't wait for more.
I think it was supposed to be Georgie's arm! It was shown towards the beginning of the movie when Pennywise tries to get Georgie to come closer to the sewer.
No worries for the long rant, it’s always fun to read other’s thoughts on the show!
I agree, I did not like the lying at all. For what it’s worth though, I don’t think she was lying at the piano scene towards the end of the first episode. That’s why we see her crying at the church because she is coming to terms with what she’s doing is for the greater good. But yeah the lying in episodes 2 and 3 hurt so bad. Good people that do bad, as you said.
Lucifer is my favorite show too and for those reasons you listed! It’s one of the handful of shows I have rewatched. It would be interesting to read your thoughts once you finish the season.
Is anyone else frustrated at season four?
