I have known this animal ever since I picked her up from the side of the road 6 years ago!
Her name is Sierra! And yes, she’s using ME as a pillow!!

Any dangers from a healed septum piercing?
I got my septum pierced (16G) almost a year ago. There have been zero complications and it is now completely healed.
My mom found out about my septum recently and was not happy. She is an emergency doctor and claimed that this piercing specifically will make me more prone to infections and complications if I ever have to get surgery, even if it is fully healed, and basically implied that I ruined my health and well-being.
I usually do believe her since she’s a doctor, but when I tried to research this issue, there were only articles about infections during the healing process, nothing about a fully healed septum.
So is she just gaslighting me? Or is this a legitimate medical concern?
