The whole point of the movie is how anger can ruin relationships. So all the problems mentioned here is what director wanted the viewers to feel. Director wanted viewers to side with Anjali not Siddhu.

How many misspellings you need OP. Its Vidyuth Jammwal not Jawan. Ithokke sredhikande ambanea...

What?? I have to break into a rich persons house at night to confirm this.

I would suggest watch alot of popular movies and cult classics. This might help you understand what a good number viewers are already exposed to. If you come up with a twist and it was already in a fairly popular movie which went unoticed or something, but a fair share of viewers who have already seen that movie will predict that twist nullyfying its effect. Apart from this the whole story you write to be similar to another story is very less likely as its a story to be said in 150 minutes. A mashup of many movies is the more likely thing to happen. But still if the viewers cant predict the next scene it will always be an interesting watch. If you write screenplay like that its more likely that you will also able pitch producers, directors and artists. A downside to watching too many movies is your brain may mix prewatched content without your knowledge. This is more of a problem when music composers try to do original peices where they end up playing a popular peice and then give up the entire song because they cant think out of it.

Yeah, you must be right last 2 episodes of season 1 are highly rated. I gave up because they strecthed too far in the middle

I like Nivin alot. I like him the most in Ohm Shanti Oshana followed by Jacobinte Swargarajyam, followed by Action Hero Biju. He was great in 1983. I regret in going for 1983 because Ohm Shanti Oshana is more fresh and enjoyable movie compared to 1983. But 1983 plays too much nostalgia trick. Because viewers were not so used to it during that time, made it do good in box office. Even now you can see alot of nostalgia reels associating to candies, cartoons they saw in 80s, 90s and alot of such stuff.I totally despise such content as it is very low effort and attention seeking thingy. I am okay with doing it mildly, but making a movie with alot of emphasis on this is just a psychological gimmickery. Apart from this can you make a valid point why it should be considered as a masterpiece? I totally agree both are really great movies.

I was hooked with first 2 episodes of "You" but totally got bored by the end of episode 7 and gave up watching it, back in 2018 or something. TIL that they made 5 seasons out of it. Holy Moly. I am wondering how they proceeded with that feeble plot, not going to watch any of it anyways.

I also have a doubt OP. Is coming to conclusion before actually conducting the research is regarded as confirmation bias? I think the poster might be misleading as it pushes participants towards answering questions that makes it look like violent movies doesn't have an impact on mental health. As a clinical psychology student you should know better. I am just asking this as i am curious

I have watched a fair share of violent movies. Most violent ones would be Blue Ruin, Kill Bill, Only god forgives, Man from nowhere. Would they be considered really violent according to industry standards? What is the benchmark for an extremely violent film?

I liked 1983, but it kinds of plays with nostalgia, cricket ball getting lost and finding too many cricket balls. Who is sachin joke, but i dont think it is as good as Ohm Shanti Oshana. I liked 1983 when i watched it in theaters. But chosing it over Oh Shanti Oshana is a questionable decision.

PE10 was or is a person who has helped alot of people. According to a celebrity(i dont recall who it was) interview, PE10 paid alot of struggling peoples medical bills inculding surgeries and transplantation costs anonymously. This was long before actress abduction case. He was considered as an example of great human being among all the top actors except Thilikan and few others. I have no clue how they feel about him now. Maybe its too hard for some of them to believe his involvement in the case.

I swayed my friends to watch 1983 instead of this as both were running in adjacent theaters. I had to try really hard as they badly wanted to watch Oh Shanti Oshana. I hated Nazriya as i hated Idea star singer and considered her as a byproduct of star singer. I totally regret my decision now. I am such a loser. 1983 was really a bad bet compared to this.

Godfathers opening scene is one of the greatest moments in cinematic history. The one with Mr.Corleone casually brushing his cat. The mannerisms and the way he confronts the man who seeks help, the lines he says is one of finest Gangster moments ever created. Its not an action movie maybe thats why you disliked it. Fight Club is the original movie that inspired many other movies that followed. Maybe you watched all the later before the original. I was really really young(middleschool)when i watched Fightclub, but still loved it.

By crackhead i meant Reenus roomate who plays paal manakathu song. You seem not to understand where to use the word crackhead it seems. It is pretty offensive to use it in other contexts as it is a word used to describe people with substance abuse. I really love Premalu and find both Sachin and Reenu cute. Charlie the movie is not making any point, it just tells a story which is kind of fairytale. If you expect points to be made from movie. What is the point of a movie like Premam? To blast stage of the boy who refused to dance with you because you sucked at dancing and then beat him up after that. Or cry like a baby in public road when the older teacher you were in love with seems to have suddenly moved on? Whats the point?

You seem to have a farely good taste in movies. I disagree with chunks, ennum ninte moideen and spanish masala. Those movies were hard to watch for me. I am the only one i know who disliked Premam . So my taste is kind of weird maybe thats why i loved Charlie

Am assuming you meant the literal meaning of crackhead. I doubt whether DQs character was a crackhead even though his father lights a joint. So my argument would be hes not into drugs. But he wears a hippie bottoms during one of the scenes which makes my argument questionable. Definitely both the leads are free spirited. The point is Dulquer brings alternative perspectives to people he meet. He treats most people differently and makes a lasting impression on all of them. Which is justified in the movie with some cool stories. The movie just says there could be people like Tessa and Charlie who has endless energy and wanderlust filled with positivity. A crackhead would be something like one shown in Premalu, if you have watched it.

This movie only worked for me because of Vineeth Sreenivasan. He really has a hard to hate personality on and offscreen which made me root for him even when he does the worst things any human could possibly do. It was really a fun watch for me. One creative scene i liked most was the Mirinda bottle idea which i never saw coming, made me burst into laughter.

Mere Dholna sun is more like a hindustani soothing song. Oru murai vanthu pathaaya is more like powerful carnatic dance song except the slow portion sung by Dasettan. I would say Oru murai vanthu paathaya fits the narrative as Nagavali is really angry for revenge while she dances even though she is supposed to dance to a song that she should be familiar with. So it kind of fits both. Now you might have noticed how layered the original movie was.
