I’ve looked into it and it is protected. The house was an absolute nightmare to live in which is why I moved out a month early. It’s ridiculous how these scum landlords treat students because I’m not even joking it was a shithole! I’m going to contact the deposit company thank you :)

Thank you for this. I mostly threatened the legal proceedings because she is a crazy woman who would ring me at random times in the day to shout at me so I thought it might kick her into action to give me it back. I honestly have no idea what I was doing

Landlord refuses to reimburse deposit for damage that was already in the property

So I've recently moved out of my final year student accommodation and my landlord is refusing to reimburse my deposit because of a hole in the wall. The thing is it was already there when we moved in and I have timestamped evidence of it in a picture I took the day we moved in. I sent this to her and listed other damages but she is refusing to budge. I threatened legal action under the fitness for human habitation act 2018, and provided evidence but she still won't accept it. It's £200 and I would really like it back as I'm dirt poor after graduating. What are my options?

I’m just about to graduate and I’m kind of past it all now, maybe because I work every weekend and now mid week to pay the bills tho lol

Exactly the same but when it comes to hair washing it’s every 3 or so days, I have long thick curly hair and I honestly can’t be arsed with it most of the time. Dry shampoo saves lives

I also went to sachsenhausen with college and another tourist group were running around taking selfies and laughing I was furious. It absolutely wrecked me

I’ll never forget being in the last year of primary school and having an assembly about a kid in the junior school who was involved in a freak accident with a steamroller. Absolutely horrific

Growing up in a small northern town is even worse if you dress slightly alternative. Got chased down the street for wearing doc martens once, and my mates got beaten up twice by a group of 20 year olds when we were 15 for wearing long leather coats. This was only 6 years ago mind.

I played arctic monkeys too much, I was 16 and had my phone on shuffle on the floor next to the bed so I didn’t even queue anything. He screamed at me about it and ran out of my parents house slamming the door and shouting down the street at me. I was a stupid kid so still stayed with him after I was the one to apologise.

Later about a year and a half after we broke up I was in the pub and he sent a video on his bike holding a switchblade saying he was going to come get me and my gf because I “cheated” with her even though we got together months after me and ex broke up. I laughed it off and went on a night out and he never came lol

Well to be fair they have done …

Yes you are right, that’s what’s been bugging me because how I see it is that many of us would love to vote for such parties but have the mind set of “whats the point they’ll never get in” which is very true with FPTP unfortunately

Thank you, I will definitely take this into consideration!

Thanks for this, yeah I thought that might be the case, I’m going to look into my constituency!

£1,500 from my last student loan in my savings rn ballingggg

Thank you! Not very well versed in the technical side of it all so it’s something to look into

I’m doing a documentary on scammers for my university project and would love to know how you compiled this information, was it from personal experience? By the way if anyone has any contacts (eg: anti scam groups, former scammers, support groups) please send them my way (DM). Thank you!
