Thank you so much for your kind words and for getting a copy, it means a lot :D !!
Thank you SO MUCH it means the absolute world!!
It is indeed Lamy Blue! Notably standard blue, I think “dark blue” is sometimes more common in shops but Lamy standard blue + Blick beige paper makes a wonderful combination :D !
Yay thank you so much I’m so glad you like them :D ! And yes fortunately I am affiliated with them! National Park Obsessed and I have a contract where they’re allowed to sell the maps in different colors :)
Thank you so so much, it means the absolute world! I would absolutely LOVE to make a RDR2 map one of these days, that is an incredible idea :D
I made an Etsy shop where I’ve put up prints, if you’d like I can DM you a link!
I used the national park map they hand out at entrances as a template and then started filling in details! I can’t recommend jumping into it enough, it’s so much fun :D !
Thank you so much!! We are VERY much of the like mind, pens, geology and maps is my happy place :D
Thank you so much :D ! And hell yes absolutely! Honestly I’m really astounded by how easy it is to jump into making maps, I’m not very good at drawing people/dimension/animals etc. but maps I was able to get into really quick! I’d recommend starting by looking at your favorite maps (like for me it was LOTR, Phantom Tollbooth, and old public lands topo maps) and picking out little elements you like from each- like a particular way to draw mountains (say more 3D with shading, or as a more minimalist jagged triangle, or with topo lines), borders, forests, lettering, etc. I practiced for a while before starting on a map just playing with different styles on the individual elements to get the style down. After practicing the individual elements a bit to where you like them, then just get started with a basic sketch, and fill in the details! If it’s a real place tracing or projecting a preexisting map to sketch the basic shape helps a lot, though ofc doesn’t apply with a fictional place :) for inking I like using a broad fountain pen nib, it adds a lot of fun character to all the map lines!
Thank you so much, it means so much! I’m so glad to hear it, I definitely tired really hard to try and not make it feel overcrowded, it’s so tempting to keep adding more and more detail in the more blank areas until it’s too much!
Thank you so much! I definitely tried to go for a rustic-retro vibe with it, the lettering is strongly based on old blueprints from the 20s-30s :D
I have an Etsy shop where I’ve put up prints!
Thank you so much! It’s in southern Utah, which if you haven’t had a chance to visit, is one of the absolute most beautiful places on earth. I visit Bryce and the four other national parks in Utah as often as I can, they are like vistas of another planet!
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you like it :D !
That is the highest praise I could ever ask for! thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! That was definitely not my site, sadly this has happened in the past before too :( I don’t wanna be spammy so I don’t post links in comments- If anyone wants a link I can DM it instead!
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you like it!
Thank you so much :D ! I think it took 20-30hr overall if counting research and making the initial pencil outline!
