This! I was struggling to put it into words in my own comment but this totally sums up exactly how I felt about it.

Just checking, is the joke in reference to Dungeon Meshi's "Ahh, delicious in dungeon" phrases at the end of an episode? Or something else?

The animation is insane! Was not expecting that for what I thought would be a fairly melancholic dungeon management series.

...did the Bull just talk? What? Whahahaha, did not expect it to be that polite.

Langdass' dance was so cute after Clay accepted the job lol.

I would not mind having a logistics job at a non-living dungeon. It seems like it'd be hella fun to be an assistant to a dungeon master.

That subtle threat of memory suppression... >.>

...yeah, with that salary I definitely wouldn't mind working here.

The art style overall looks so cute! Reminds me of a mobile rogue like game I played a while back that I forget the name of. It's so... Cute! Can't find another word for it haha

Great first episode! Was not expecting it to have such good production quality. Clay's VA sounds good too, I'll have to check them out later. Solid 8/10 start, can't wait for next week's episode!

slow-burn step sibling drama

I know it has a romance tag, but good fucking god I hope the romance isn't between the step siblings for once.

FOR ONCE, I'd like to be able to send my stepsister an anime that she can watch without her thinking I got the hots for her.

I phrased that wrongly. I more so meant to say that there's definitely going to be great isekai out there like Re Zero for example, but I'm not willing to dig through the dirt just to find whatever that series will be. You feel?

Rather just give it a few years and see what stands the test of time for others than watching isekai seasonals to discover them myself.

Same, nothing against the genre, it just isn't for me. The story arc just seems too generic most of the time, and the premise usually isn't interesting enough to make up for it.

Of course, there are definitely hidden gems deep beneath the rubble, like Re:Zero for example, but I'd rather not waste my time digging through the other dozen generic series just to find that rare diamond in the rough.

....like, how does that even get past the entire supply line? How...

[manga]

A great read from the few chapters I finished! Excited for the adaptation to drop!

I suppose spreading the condiments

Yeah, this. Idk if my family was just broke growing up, but afaik, sandwiches where you put meat and cheese and other shit really isn't common in my country (Philippines). It's mostly just either peanut butter or margarine, so you'd always need a spoon. Well, either that or you just eat the bread without anything.

wouldn’t you need to wash it every time

Yeah? But like it's pretty easy to just wash as soon as you're done making the sandwich though.

Idk, there's easier ways to just put away bread but that's just how I always did it lol :D

This was hella easy the moment I zoomed in, but I can see why it'd be a pain in the ass every time you come up to the countertop trying to look for it lol.

Twist and tuck is a no no for me, I twist then loop it into itself, but instead of fully pulling the knot through (which makes it hard to untie), I use the hole it makes to insert a spoon that ill use for the next time I wanna make a sandwich.

No difficulty untying, still safe from ants, and no need to grab a spoon from the cupboard, just go straight to making one. Love it.

You're being an asshole too, by the way. Just figured you should hear that from someone, the previous guy was way too nice. Enjoy not having a new season of NHK!

Honestly I wouldn't even say it's bad, it's serviceable. It got the job done, y'know? Didn't really notice any flaws or issues. Just not outstanding.

the voice casting for this show is crazy

I really wasn't expecting the production to be this good. When I looked at it when I skimmed through Summer seasonals, I thought this would just be my seasonal gag SOL like 'Tis Time for Torture, Princess'. When I heard Kenjiro and Hayami I was shocked lol.

Dog person myself. Recently got a cat, 6 months old or so. Was looking forward to this one a lot, glad the production seems good! About to start watching :3

Is that Kenjiro Tsuda himself??? King? Wow, was not expecting him to be in a series about cats lol. That's so unexpected.

Looking at the other VAs, Saori Hayami is also in the cast? Wow. Loved her in Pseudo Harem.

Rie Kugimiya didn't seem familiar, but I see she's Koto from Kyousougiga, which I'm watching this week! Glad to see her here.

I can't not hear Yor as a tiger. Lol! I'm imagining her just wearing a tiger costume at this point.

With all the insanely tough and intimidating characters Kenjiro has voice acted for over his career, seeing his character get brushed down is really weird hahaha.

Ahhh, so it's a two-parter per episode, like uh... Yozakura Family is the first one I thought of that's similar. It seems fitting for such a casual premise.

It's so wholesome >.< It's bringing the exact vibes I was hoping for. The cats are so cute too, especially Krishna.

This was better than I expected! Looking forward to next episode!

BL isn't personally my thing but just wanted to say I'm happy for y'all BL fans! Glad studios are picking up material like these! Hopefully they sell Blurays well so more studios are incentivized to adapt more!

Yeah it got translated to cheeky devil in some sources, imp-chan in others.

This is the first series I've watched where I actually read the manga before it even got announced for an adaptation. They're so cute! The VAs for the main couple are amazing!

Wish the production was a bit better, but honestly, with Saori Hayami carrying this show on her back, I'm still gonna enjoy the heck out of it. :D

Ha! For once we actually have some privileges. Episodes are also dropping at early evenings for us, unlike the usual midnight to 3am ish.

I'm sure she's likely the ones backing the first suicide squad that went into their world too, which would explain why she was disappointed at Ratchie being defeated so easily. Also explains why they have access to magic tools like the one Ratchie was using. Makes for a poor mystery but gonna be fun seeing the two squads go against each other.

One Piece finally being added arc by arc on Netflix in my country has really been so convenient in actually making some decent progress. I love how they not only let you automatically skip the intro, but the recap as well. Saves a nice 3-5 minutes each ep.

I mean, personally I would've stopped the plane, but I guess she just wasn't as patriotic as me. Disappointing...

So far I'm getting a wide range of quality from the seasonals.

  1. 5/10 - Tasuketsu
  2. 6/10 - Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian
  3. 6/10 - My Wife Has No Emotion
  4. 7/10 - Suicide Squad Isekai
  5. 8/10 - Days With My Stepsister
  6. 9/10 - Oshi no Ko Season 2

I'm expecting Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan to be an 8 and Pseudo Haren to be a 7, and most of my other hidden gem picks are probably gonna end up being around a 7 as well. Really shaping up to be a bell curve distribution lol.
