I like how there's a green dude flexing in Colorado. But all of this makes me think maybe the US should be more than one country. Something like the EU .

I do confess to listening to a few silly podcasts out of the UK so his name does pop up.

He's pretty distinctive. I don't know that i could recognize many world leaders but he seems obvious.

everyone knows perfectly well that "pronoun" is code for non binary pronouns. You don't have to pretend that all these republicans are morons. they know exactly what they're doing.

there were some real rivals back in the middle ages, but I think we have pulled ahead in the dumb category

I want to listen in to what the docs are saying because yes nurses do believe some of the weirdest shit .

I was surprised to read just how much fusion fuel was in these bombs. A 5 megaton bomb might have close to 1000 lbs of lithium deuteride for example.

Interestingly, they can use plane old uranium even depleted uranium and the fusion reaction will lead to it still undergoing fission.

This is one of the questions which seems hard but the answer is surprisingly simple. An atomic nucleus is really just a bunch of little balls stuck together. If you hit it with another ball fast enough, it breaks the others apart. Uranium or Plutonium are used because their nuclei are so large that they sometimes break apart spontaneously, so it doesn't take much to knock them apart deliberately. And when they break apart, they spit out some more balls which smack into their nearby neighbors and so on. That's why we call it a "chain reaction" - one atom splits which triggers the next one and the next one in a chain.

FSD swerved to avoid a pedestrian who stepped out into the road while I was going about 35 mph. I think she was getting into a car parked on side. I did not see her as I had looked to the left anticipating a left turn and then I felt the wheel jerk. What I did see was the shock on her face - she wasn't paying attention to oncoming traffic. Scared the *&#$ out of both of us. I don't know if I would have hit her but would have been very very close.

I have a friend who always starts texts with "hey mister". thought it was quirky but maybe it's more common

exactly. just picked up new MY and the trunk was misaligned and interior B panel cover had popped loose. Like how did the sales staff miss something this obvious never mind the factory?

that's what i though too... i couldn't find "pigeon manager" used anywhere else but Seagull manager is common.

Other than the mileage this seems like an ok deal. But hear me out, a brand new 2024 MYP is $46k after IRS money taken at time of sale. Zero miles. And I bet if you wait a bit you will find Tesla discounting some inventory vehicles again. To me it's worth the extra $13k for a new one with a warranty. Also I saw a similar used 2021 MYP on Tesla site for $38k that has FSD included.

That said, if you were close to maxing out your budget and/or you care about miles, I would look for a non-performance being sold elsewhere and pay $2k for acceleration boost. You can find low miles white MY all day long selling for like $27k. Not quite as fast but close.

This has inspired me to paint my beer cooler with black spray paint and then drag it around in the gravel. All i need is some fishing floats and tanned feet lol.

I think the point is that it becomes political. I'm sure buggy whip manufacturers complained. But no politician wants to be in the crosshairs of "middle America". And remember the top 3 selling vehicles in the US are trucks. Half of the US is cosplaying ranchers.

The only solution is to make EVs much more complicated and less reliable
