General rule of thumb is that you don't want to run a cab sim into any guitar amp speakers, whether they're in a cab or a combo amp. You can experiment with it anyway and if you like it, nobody is gonna stop you from doing it. But it might sound weird.

I also use my Helix with my Marshall JVM. I use full amp blocks. Line 6 suggests using preamp blocks, but it always sounds much better to me using the full amp block so that's what I do.

I manage a bar in California. There is no law saying that you can't sell someone alcohol with an expired ID. The only law is don't sell to a minor, and don't sell to an obviously intoxicated person. How you go about complying with that is up to you. However, accepting an expired ID can put you at risk of unknowingly serving a minor, and the ABC/judge will not take pity on you, because you took a risk by serving someone without a bona fide ID.

A) Different sounds. Plug-ins can do a lot but a les paul with a humbucker is never gonna sound like a single coil strat.

B) Tunings. I play in six bands and my tunings range from E standard to drop C and everything in between. I could get away with just changing the tuning every day, but it sure is nice to have a guitar set up specifically for the tuning it's going to live in.

C) Fun. I got into guitar because I love everything about the instrument. They're the coolest objects in the world to me. I want to have some different models.

That's some serious speculation there lol.

Does this vary state to state? I want to say some southern states are awful and aren't legally required to give breaks, but I could be (and hopefully am) wrong.

Edit: Whoops. Totally spaced on the £ signs lol.

1.5oz of simple seems like an awful lot.

does one of the stupidest things a human can do

"You didn't have to talk to me like I'm stupid!"

Call the health department, but what would fuck them even harder is blasting this on social media. I bet every dollar I have they'll be closed withing 3 months. Seriously do it. Name and shame. People like this don't deserve anonymity.

Walmart has pairs for like $30 that are decent. Don't expect them to last more than 6-8 months though.

Semi-related, but I used to roll blunts in pizza boxes in my college days if I was on campus. If I saw cops rolling up, close the box. "No you can't search my pizza officer. What's next, you gonna ask for a slice?"

No probable cause = no search.

Liver destroyer.

Seriously. Just don't.

Large cyclist groups are always awful customers.

Ger your measurements down. There shouldn't be any extra unless it's a brand new drink someone just requested off the cuff. And even then, the measurements shouldn't be very far off. You know what glass it's going into, you should know the volume of the drink and scale the recipe appropriately. Serving then the "extra" looks very tacky and makes it seem like you don't know what you're doing.

I mean he was no Roy Donk, but he was a regular guest on The Colgate Hour.

Don't think of it as not allowing allowing homeless people. Whether someone is homeless or not is irrelevant. Are they sober? Are they up to dresscode/hygiene standards? Are the making yourself or your customers uncomfortable, even a little? 99% of the time, our unhoused neighbors fit one of those categories and that is why you are denying service. It's just business.

Also, more often than not drugs are a factor,  and it's illegal to serve a visibly intoxicated person. So the decision isn't even really up to you, it's the law.

Left. I've never used any special techniques for winding the strings, just do it properly with an appropriate amount of wraps. I think people who do some sort of "locking" method of winding their strings are solving a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place if done properly.

Did you even read the post? Owner is taking 100% of tips. You're just straight up wrong.

They're not "passing along donations". A tip given is the property of the employee, not the business.

I'm not going to post a source for you because this is federal tip law 101 and if you don't already know that, you clearly know nothing.

In the boy band episode, when Randy just loses his shit and screams "NO!" and runs head first into the China cabinet. So fucking random and out of character (at the time) for him.

The Chats. They have a different sound, but still very Ramones-esque in the sense of crafting simple but catchy bare bones punk songs written about trivial every day things.

That's a rule of thumb guideline, not a set serving size. If you are saying that a "single" refers specifically to 1.5oz because the rule of thumb is 1.5oz of 40%abv spirits is a serving, what would you call a 1.5oz serving of overprooof whiskey? By your own logic you wouldn't be able to call that a single anymore. Which is exactly why there is no set standard.

You are incorrect in the sense that you commented that 2oz is not a proper way to serve a "single" pour and that's just a crazy statement.

You are incorrect and clearly know nothing about federal tip laws.

You are extremely incorrect. Don't comment on other people legal matters if you aren't knowledgeable about the issues. You're doing more harm than good.
