If you don't need to be carpentry accurate, you can use "similar triangles" to cut the angles without calculating them
I see in another comment that the triangle you are trying to make has sides 6 and 4, I e. Ratio 3 to 2 This means the sides of the triangles that you are trying to cut off the ends of the brace are also in the ratio 3 to 2, with the diameter of the brace being the longest side.
Measure the diameter of your brace (important it be square cut first). Mark the brace 2/3 of the diameter away from the end, and cut off the wedge from the corner of the piece to this mark on the other side. The wedge will be cut at the correct angle.
The other side you can scribe off the vertical post with one side fixed - especially easy (and strong) if you seat the brace in birds mouths in the verticals

I am a firm believer that the farmwork helped set me up being strong me more than lifting. You get functionally strong, conditioned and fit. If you're ever looking for short term work (or whatever), get a heavy labouring job and treat it like strongman training
Being strong is great, and not being the biggest guy doesn't matter to achieving big stuff for yourself! I was the lightest person to load the 5th of the 9 stones (75kg) as my town's highland games last year - Tom Stoltman holds the record doing all 9 sub 30 seconds I think, but that doesn't take anything away from how chuffed I am with my lift and trying to hit the next stone (107) next year.
