If someone was supposed to pet sit for me and then let my pets die, and then they invited me to their wedding, I would absolutely do whatever I could to ruin that wedding as badly as possible. Wear a bridal gown, set your phone alarm to go off every 2 minutes, spill every piece of food or drink on the bride and groom. I would be as awful as I possibly could be until they kicked me out, because who gives a fuck about having a relationship with people that let your pets die and then don't care?
Oh, and even if you did all this and ruined their wedding, they'd still be the bigger assholes in this situation.
As a patron of the Denver area Alamo's, would it be beneficial if we stopped going to the Littleton theater or would that hurt employees more?
She wore blackface, she said the n-word in her movie (the same movie with plenty of offensive jokes about Asians and The Holocaust), yet she's never been cancelled. A one second Google search puts her net worth at $8 million.
"Poor girl" lol
Probably because they've seen what happens before when you stand up against people who are on the side of radical Islam.
Sadly, Americans, because the man has a British accent.
You see, over the past 20 or so years, Americans have developed this insane fetish for being criticized by British people. It started simple enough, small things like singing or cooking, but it soon ballooned to all ways of life, even the news, and now we crave constant British chastising.
Unfortunately, this is why we all care when our intrepid American media critic heroes are challenged by the British: we've been conditioned to believe whatever they say. I do hope we can break free soon, and once again declare our independence.
EDIT: lol this was a goof guys...
Huh, how strange it exists in the USA, a country described as Capitalist. Does that mean the USA is now Socialist? Hmmmmmm....
The clever comeback isn't even remotely true. A one second Google search brought up this, obviously for the area I live but quite literally google "help when homeless" and you'll get a list of all the services provided in your area.
In fact, I went ahead and looked up this actual Tweet, it turns out it's in Maryland, across from the Capitol building. Here's the resources all those people need. Lots of homeless people avoid places like this as they often require you to NOT use drugs, and many homeless people would rather be drunk or high.
Ofc this is a post shitting on Capitalism so it's not like they have to be clever at all.
Funny enough but unbelievably pretentious. Feels like the sort of movie a high school kid would say changed their life. Getting a nun to give up her faith by explaining a scene from Alice in Wonderland feels like a short story ripped straight from a zine from the 90s. That is Kevin Smith's thing, though.
The response here is exactly why you should be scared.
There's plenty of posts on here about various religions but I don't think I ever see people rushing to their aid or getting offended when you talk about anything but Islam. There are 1.9 billion Muslims on the planet; if you pick a random person from the entire current population of the planet, the chances of picking a Muslim is 23.8%, just shy of 1 in 4. And yet, on this post in r/atheism about your fear of Islam, the top level comments are "Islam isn't actually a threat", "I'm not scared", "I'm not worried", "You're an idiot for feeling this way", "I'm not worried", and finally "Islam is the worst and most intolerant religion", the latter having people chiming in about how awful Christians and Jews are.
Meanwhile, we you go to the current top post of this Subreddit, it's about Christian Creep in the US, specifically about how we have to say "Under God" in the pledge of allegiance. The top comments are "Wow you're all brainwashed, that's creepy!", "Your country is being controlled by a religious minority", "This seems surreal, churches exist just to hate people", "Big business and SCOTUS did this", etc.
My point is, in your post about being worried about seeing more and more Muslims, telling you you should be at Mosque, saying how much they hate gays, you get people here saying WELL OTHER RELIGIONS ARE BAD TOO, DON'T BE ISLAMAPHOBIC. And on a post about having to say "Under God" in a pledge, you get people saying the US population is brainwashed and controlled by Christians.
When you're so progressive you hate the ideals of the west, you start embracing every other culture, even if it means embracing a religion that openly has declared war on anyone who isn't them. Sadly, many people here aren't here cause they care about atheism, they're just people who were mad their parents made them go to church growing up.
I didn't remember but now I do and I'm laughing sooo much remembering it and a lot of the show in general. In one of the finales, I think she diverts a nuke from blowing up a city to blowing up some random town and then like, two scenes later she's making jokes? She also sucks at cooking an omelette and something about it was comical but I can't recall. At some point, some guys fixes Felicity's inability to walk and she says something like "IDK what to say!" and Oliver goes "I do.... you're terrific! :D"
lmao that show fucking sucked
How dare ALL OF YOU mock a movie about a penguin! They're ENCHANTING animals and you should ALL be ASHAMED.
You should GO SEE THIS MOVIE. IT'S GONNA BE WONDERFUL!
Cool, now I say everything you just said except about how the October 7th attacks coming from Palestine and how that's not a unique thing, it's been happening for years, blah blah blah, no one here actually cares or will change their mind. Get it?
Wait a minute, what was the secret?? You didn't say!! WAS IT HER PUSSY?!?!?!?
How sad is it that on a post about Palestinian propaganda you have people like this commenting with Palestinian propaganda. By all means, please show me reliable sources showing "mass graves of doctors and patients", "blown up hospitals" [NOTE: hospitals that Hamas used as bases of operation do not count], "children... picked off by snipers".
I'm realizing there's no point ever debating anything on this site, ESPECIALLY when it comes to this, so not even bothering to finish writing this comment. Believe whatever you'd like.
Oh god, yeah with the hype it's gotten I've thought to go back and watch it but if you're saying that continues, yeah I definitely will not. I have no problem with lofty dialogue but if you wanna have some prestige TV with deep, thought-provoking comments, you can't write that seriously. That's like something you have Billy Madison say at the end of the movie, that is immediately rebutted with how incredibly dense a statement it is.
It's sad how obsessed with politics teens are. Focus more on your personal life than who's sitting in the White House and you'll be an awful lot happier.
I remember watching this show as it aired. If I'm being honest, it was pretty cheap with ridiculous pseudo-science. I remember one scene, they're at a wake after a funeral. The main guy is trying to figure out who the killer may be so he chews some gum and sticks it on a light bulb in a lamp. This causes the light bulb to explode (???) and everyone in the room gasps and turns to look. HOWEVER, the main guy is able to see that one person doesn't respond the same as everyone else, he wasn't as shocked, so that must mean he knows something?
I'm probably misremembering the exact scene but it was something like that, and it was soo stupid. It was just a very silly procedural, and it was airing around 2010. That means it was airing during the same era as The Office, Parks and Rec, Community, 30 Rock, Always Sunny in Philadelphia , Archer, and many others were basically at their most popular. It was just a middling show that tried but really had no hook.
I watched three episodes of this show before I had to stop. I may not have finished the third episode even. It was OKAYish, not amazing, but then in episode three, the one guy says the following to his sister:
"I was thinking about cancer. What it is, essentially. It's the body cell so deformed, they turn on the body itself. Start feeding. Cancer doesn't have much foresight, so it kills its hosts, which kills it. Cancer is suicide from the inside out. That's what you are, Beth."
Without a doubt, that's some of the worst writing I've ever read in anything ever. It's sooo stupid in so many ways. I think I may have just ended the episode there and didn't bother to even finish it.
Wow thank you, I had been looking for this one too, this is 100% it.
Why in the world do you think they would assume this?
Lot's of people like to think people only steal because they need to.
Get pennies in the dollar.
Yes, quite literally this. They spent $0 on the jewelry so it's all profit for them. A ring that would normally sell for $2,000 selling for $100? Who cares, that's $100 they didn't have before.
Reddit is as bad as Facebook or Twitter. Log out of your account and check the front page you get when you're not logged in. The amount of absolute misinformation on there is staggering.
