Recently we had a general contractor replace some outdoor cedar stairs on our condo grounds and he did what we think is a poor job. We’re hoping to find an engineer or home inspector who is experienced with landscape carpentry who could inspect the job and let us know if it meets the “prevailing trade standard for workmanship” that the contractor had warranted in the contract. Can anyone make a recommendation?
If you think a dozen people on a subreddit is the global arbiter of good taste, you are stupider than I thought.
Your responses clearly demonstrate that you are an idiot though, so your opinion carries no weight.
I rely on my own ears and not what other people say about it. The quality was good for the 1980s but it sounds like dog shit by modern standards.
The comment conveyed exactly what I wanted it to. You ARE wrong, for the reason I stated above.
Thrash has been my genre since I first heard master of puppets back in 1988. I’ve listened pretty much every thrash album ever. You concluding that because I’m an audiophile means I don’t like thrash just proves that you are a dumbass
I don’t know anyone who thinks China is as bad as NK. I’ve never heard anyone say it in the media either. Everyone who is even partially informed seems to realize that China is an economic powerhouse that rivals the US while NK has pretty much the most dysfunctional economy in the world.
Can you share evidence of people who are stating that China is as bad as NK?
Bobby Blitz is pure cheese and ruins overkill.
Most thrash albums from the 80s are overrated and borderline unlistenable due to terrible production (looking at you, Slayer and Kreator).
Cowboys from Hell is a thrash album, the best Pantera album, and the best metal album of the 90s
Your “character” should do what the rest of us do… write a screenplay (under their name or pen name), try to get industry eyeballs on it via the blacklist, etc and sell the thing.
On the topic of a romantic subplot, I read this somewhere and it sounded wise, so I made a note…
The Relationship Cycle
First, the characters instantly dislike each other. Second, they are forced together by external circumstances. Third, they become closer through working together. Fourth, unmet expectations create a new conflict. Fifth, they come back together in a crisis, forgive each other, and thereby cement their relationship.
This feels more like a rant than a view open to being changed.
Mission accomplished.
He’s too much cheese for me. And I like Gama bomb, so my cheese tolerance is high.
So long as he has a story goal that he pursues you should be fine. Many protagonists (at least in hero journey type stories) start off in a status quo where they are stuck until the inciting incident disrupts things.
I’ve submitted stories to editors before with passive protagonists and they always get slammed for that reason. It’s the number one mistake. If you plan on being published, I recommend making your protagonist drive the story.
The sub description says “advice on nutrition, supplementation, training”. I don’t understand why they don’t delete that. Might not make a huge difference but it can’t hurt. Most posters are obviously not reading the “read this first” post.
We haven’t paid him fully yet, so I’d like him to come back and fix the parts that aren’t done properly.
I don’t even know what code is for ground contact cedar stairs. Some of the stairs are floating, held in place by some bolts, and underneath there’s a big void. I’m my mind, the stairs need to be resting on graded gravel or dirt. On top of that, there’s botched bits that are two inches short, angles that don’t match up.
For some reason you aren’t allowed to criticize blitz in this sub. Which is weird because he’s objectively the worst thrash vocalist out there. My guess is that he has thirty accounts here.
Do you like Overkill ?
