Okay and point to me where did anyone make fun of your job? (Not reading this long as hell reply lol)

What is your job, exactly? Eight days ago you needed money to make it to payday. Pretty unusual for a rancher to have a payday …

There are almost 2 billion Muslims in the world. They don’t all believe the same things. Same as any other large religion, there’s a ton of variation in how people interpret the rules.

“Between my teeth” is the phrase most English speakers would use

“Pop it like a cheese” from Young Posse

I know a few social workers and, much like more traditional healthcare workers, in my experience, snarking and dark humor tend to come with the job. Coping mechanism and all that.

Does he work with kids? There’s lots of kinds of social workers, they don’t only work with children. My friend is a social worker for a hospital system and works only with adults who have cancer, for example.

And if you don’t think people who work with kids are snarky, I guess you aren’t friends with many teachers, lol. People that work with children don’t have any particularly patient or serious personality, it’s like any other job. All types.

He has anti-charisma. You still need screen presence to play a weirdo.

Well There’s Your Problem, it’s a podcast about engineering disasters (with doses of griping about politics and capitalism thrown in). The podcast has accompanying slides, which, while not necessary, I do find interesting, so I only listen to it when I can pull the slides up at work without anyone noticing 😂

200+, however most of that is one podcast I’m picking at slowly

That’s a “backronym”, meta doesn’t stand for anything. Meta is a Greek prefix.

The answer to your question lies within the article

Exactly! I usually skip the trail tales episodes now because it’s a lot of “I asked for a sign from my dead loved one and then saw a sticker on the trailhead map shaped like a heart! - no such thing as coincidences!” which is … even if you believe in the afterlife … not compelling podcast storytelling material, imo. I think there is an interesting way to discuss these things but NPAD doesn’t deliver when they go in that direction.

Sure, totally fair. And I don’t expect them to be skeptical, they’re obviously not. I’m just expressing that when the podcast goes in this direction I don’t like it as much. I like the historical and survival stories a lot.

Fall of Civilizations is a great history podcast although it uploads very infrequently.
