Yeah I'm not buying that.
A 4090 is such a specific high-end product. No one goes into a store and go "Oh, I bet he'd like that for his birthday!" without knowing anything about it or whether there's any use for it. I'd believe it if it were a pair of Bluetooth earbuds or something.
And this is a FOUNDERS EDITION lol.
In the harbor it was definitely windy. Even a small drone could normally handle these types of winds but it's probably not advisable to have dozens or hundreds of them close together in formation.
Waiting for my building to get the greenlight for fibre installation. For now I'm maxed out at 18.75MB/s...
20? You're a kid..
Edit: You literally used "bro" in your meme.
Oh I'm well aware of the issue. Luckily I haven't been a victim of this (4080 and 4090 owner).
Gotcha. Yes, it's a MPG A850G. I can totally use the regular 6+2 cables. I only thought about using the 16-pin connector because there's less cable clutter. I'll stick to the normal ones.
That's gotta be illegal. I can see how other road users would get confused and/or distracted.
Every time you shoot someone: "Sorry!"
No... it's not glue lol. You can remove the cooler, peel the sticker off, clean up the CPU and then reapply fresh thermal paste. Just Google or YouTube how to do this.
I almost completely forgot about this gem of a movie. Of all the comedy movies from around that time, this was the peak for me.
To find out, just call 1-800-555-NVIDIA, extension 69.
There is no fix. If there's any warranty left on the unit, you can file a claim with the manufacturer and get a replacement.
Sounds like your pump is dead. If your pump is mounted correctly with fresh thermal paste, fans are running, cables are plugged in where they should be and it's still running too hot, your pump isn't working. You said your tubes are hot to the touch so yeah, that liquid isn't moving whatsoever. The pump isn't working so the liquid is literally just sitting there, getting hotter and hotter.
Yeah, I hear ya. I'm the same when it comes to that style of chassis. I like minimal/sleek designs. Just the other day I had to build another machine which will be my daily. It's in the Meshify 2 Compact (waiting for the GPU to arrive before removing the sticker/peel). I think that one shows a good balance between minimal, non-gamer and slightly gamer. There is a solid panel variant of this case but I have not been able to find it in stock anywhere at MSRP. It also feels much sturdier than the North XL.
Another thing I forgot to mention about the XL is the not-so-stellar front fan mounting mechanism. By default, the fans are screwed via the back of the bracket (which is fixed, not removeable), so to remove or add fans you basically need an empty case so you can access all the screws. The bottom ones are especially annoying because you can only reach those via the power supply area. When I swapped out the stock fans I placed the them behind the bracket so I could screw them in via the front of the case. They just sit a little further back.
I've owned other (cheaper) cases that felt more premium, mainly because of their sturdiness. The XL is strong enough but for its size it feels a bit "thin" and flimsy. The biggest issue for me was the HDD cage. Despite the inclusion of rubber anti-vibration pads, the cage itself is mounted directly to the bottom of the case (metal on metal). The vibration was terrible. It resonates through the whole case so I had to ditch the caddy. I stuck some soft padding to the bottom of the drive and just let it sit freely. This is obviously only an issue if you use a HDD for mass storage.
I also got used to toolless side panels on other cases so going back to thumbscrews was a bit of a pain. Strangely enough, the top panel is toolless but I rarely need to access it. Doesn't make sense to me.
There's also some panel misalignment here and there. It's nothing major, but it's noticeable enough if you look closely.
In my opinion, it's still a very nice looking case that's super easy to build in but I think it should've been a lot cheaper. The wood is the only "premium" thing about it.
"Zoom Zoom, that's the sound of da police!"
What is the actual name of the thermal pads that are more squishy? The blue stuff that some video cards use? I'm looking for some.
