Haven’t seen that in ages unfortunately, other than the odd Mourinho reference
Basically it’s just an ultra-conservative shithouse way of playing, so France and England are the two high-profile examples at this tournament. In club football I think Getafe are (or definitely were) the most common example but there aren’t as many, because clubs have more time to learn a nicer style of play
Absolutely nobody is happy with that then
“Gareth gives us the freedom to press and play”
Does he fuck
They’ve pulled that out of a hat, surely. A positive sub cameo without actually producing anything shouldn’t be worth MOTM in any game.
Imo the 2 standout starters were Leao and Camavinga but they were both subbed off pretty early. Any of the French back line or Nuno Mendes would have been more deserved too
He just got updated to 9 recoveries, I’m over the moon
I’d definitely stick with a CS
Kounde definitely deserves goal points for that penalty 🚀
This is very good regardless of who wins, if Portugal win it gets even better
If this ends 0-0 I am back
I actually really enjoyed that half of football, it was still a classic tense knockout game but there were chances. The subs have looked a bit more expansive, particularly Dembele. Let’s see what extra time holds
Thought Kounde had an assist for a split second
That’s an even better save by Maignan
France have contained them very well in the early phases of build-up, particularly in the first 20 mins or so
Leao is the only player really trying anything so far
Czechia vs Türkiye I think might have had more
It’s true, it’s just not been seen so far because nobody owned Ryan Porteous
Absolutely but you need a bit of luck sometimes and Spain definitely had that today. Germany were probably the better side, definitely after the subs taking off Yamal etc.
That’s the sign of a great team, not playing well (down to the subs from de la Fuente) but they somehow grab a way to win it, and by the looks of it the whole competition
It’s the right thing to do for the team to be honest
What a player, oozed class on the pitch. Sad to see
