One night, about a week hence, a revving engine was heard, followed by a sickening crunch as the front end, sump, etc., of the dipshit’s car is entirely destroyed by the hidden steel and concrete! Amazing work. It looks great. All I can think of is maybe adding a retractable pergola to allow use in bad weather. The downside is they’re not cheap.

My suggestion would be to discuss those hot button issues after dinner/when the kids are out of earshot (in bed), turn the TV off if that helps. Never have heavy-duty discussions in the bedroom when going to bed. Not only does it kill any mood, it creates stress which is counter-productive to getting off to sleep.

Together four years, married eight months. It’s ain’t very long and you have a child to consider. Marriage is about communication, respect and compromise. I’m not reading any of that here. It seems like you’re quitting when the going gets tough. He’s not violent or abusive. He’s pulled his finger out and is trying to help out now (better late than never). I suggest it’s worth persevering, talk to each other, show respect and be prepared to give a little (he should reciprocate). Just my observation from what you’ve said and personal experience. I reckon you have probably identified the issue here. I realise they’re protected and all but if their number have boomed and we start having fatalities maybe it’s time to pull the croc population back a bit. All potentially contentious, a la the brumby situation in the NSW/VIC high country.
