Does meth not also reduce appetite like regular speed does? And surely the high energy works on the weight?

With a 45 Magnum shooter loaded with 5 bullets. Or was that 6 bullets? Punk!

Ok. School buses too.

Anything else? Landscaping services for lawns? Cleaning services? Laundry services? Lollipop ladies? Sure this property tax is going to be great value altogether.

True. And I suppose you could insure an old jalopy and leave it sit for a year. So no risk of a claim. And then buy a new policy with a 1-year NCD.

That would place you in a little bit of bother if you ever needed to make a claim.

Property has nothing to do with waste. Unless you also want property taxes to also go to support the other essential domestic services like: gas, electricity, domestic postal services, water, sewage treatment, cable tv, internet, landlines, roads into houses, ambulances.

Aluminium and PET bottle are the highest value materials in the bins. Some materials are low value or negative value. If you take out only the high value materials, the net value of a bin is reduced.

Yes. And car manufacturing and supermarkets should also be in the public domain - these prodcuts (cars for private transport) and services (grocery sales) are cornerstones of our society. Private companies will only ever operate in their own best interest.

Yes, the Germans lost a lot of forestry too but not as much as Ireland. But we are talking degrees of shittiness here. None of it is a good story. But the recognition of the issue is how the thing will return.

Thanks - just downloaded the sample of that book to say what it’s about.

Hmmmm, I disagree.  After reading Eoghan Daltons book - an Irish Atlantic Rainforest, I have been seeing Ireland very differently - seeing how naked the hills are in Connemara, West Cork and Donegal. And why they are naked.

Shorn of its original forests centuries back and kept mown down by sheep and deer, these lands DO NOT look like they would naturally. They would be covered by forest and hazel scrub, and a profusion of other plants.  As Dalton demonstrates in his patch.

I knew it logically all along but that book just spelled it out for me. And it makes me sad to have the scales pulled off my eyes and see these spaces for what they are.  Those bare hills are ecological dead zones compared to what would be there if we didn’t keep sheep grazing the fuck out of them.

I know that part of the attraction of these wild places is the folk tradition, the people culture. And this is rooted in agriculture. But I’m sure it could be just as, or more, rich in a more sustainable way, rooted in nature instead.

Thank you for this - it’s informative, kinda.

Regarding the “lost” passport thing, there is also an obligation on people entering the State to do so lawfully so if you enter the State without a passport having had one at boarding, you are committing a crime. Which is illegal 🙄. And is a very poor way to start a relationship with a state you are about to ask to feed and clothe and educate you and all yours.

And those who lost their passports and whose applications are refused because their real identities didn’t line up with their stories - well they are illegal because everything about them is a lie. And STILL they remain on in the country. And appear no different to an observer than a deserving seeker.

It is hard to believe any asylum story because of all the messing going on with untruths and hiding of facts by all parties in the asylum mess. Government, anti-asylum seekers and the seekers themselves are all incentivised to deceive and skew the truth in their own favour.

The outcome of all this? Asylum seekers and their descendants will be viewed with skepticism whose Irishness may be based on a bed of lies. Which is not fair on those whose case was true like Syrians or Palestinians.

Are you saying that they starved a year after a mast year or that they got a disease and died?

it's not like they'd stand up and go welp, you're on your own, see ya.

That is exactly what you said above where you said _“Even in the unlikely event my midwife didn't make it and baby was coming, the doula would ring an ambulance and leave the room until medical professionals got there”_

You are describing a situation with a well planned delivery that is hit with a. rapid onset delivery, where the medical professionals have not yet arrived. And saying that the doula would leave the room.

Even though you might not be allowed assist medically, I would expect a doula would provide all the emotional support and other advice that she is covered to do MOST ESPECIALLY while waiting for the medical team. This is the time when a woman might be close to panicking and will need calming experienced support.

Leave the room where a baby is coming fast and the midwife hasn’t arrived yet? That’s dosent sound right. That’s exactly the time a woman would need all the emotional support she can get while waiting for medical support.

Maybe “leave the room” is a phrase rather than a literal description of what she would do?

Wow - they are serious. That flip jump onto the pole over a large drop to water 🔥

Jesus. That thing is travelling 7km? Powered only by the explosion in the tube? Wow!! Is it accurate?

The inverse is referred to in the comment linked following. Women from UK marrying younger men from Gambia. There is ‘a whole industry’ around this scenario of women seeking love on the beaches in Gambia. Do you call this misandristic?
