Only been meditating for around 2/3 weeks but I have already seen significant improvements with my OCD.

It’s not distracting yourself. It’s building up the skill of observing your thoughts without judgement, acknowledging the thought and then simply going back to focusing on breathing or a sensation or a mantra as you was before.

For me it came with a lot of time and experience. I’ve had OCD for 4 years now and sometimes now I don’t realise a thought is OCD. That’s how it gets you because it feels SO REAL. But for me I normally can catch my OCD bc its in “what if” sentences or I’m obsessing over something and underlying it, it’s the uncertainty of it that I’m actually obsessing about.
