The biggest thing is keeping up on the oil changes. Just be safe and do the "heavy driving" chage at 5k miles. Check you manual for recommended repairs at mileage/year intervals
Save EVERY receipt when you get your oil changed. And seriously, check the oil stick after you get gas. It's good to let the engine sit for 15 mins so the oil settles. (Take out stick, whipe clean, put back in, wait a few seconds, take out and check oil level)
Kia has a great warranty, but you gotta keep up with the fluid changes
