Honestly, best time ever for me. Able to get all school work done, didn’t have to deal with our sucky education system out where I live, and I’m introverted enough I’m probably one of the few people my age who didn’t lose a whole lot from it, in fact it was pretty nice to not have social pressures. In fact, one of the worst times of my life was Fall 2023. Spring 2023 was the best though.
Honestly though, I do have to agree, the internet culture sucked during that time, but honestly, most of my time was spent catching up on shows I’d never seen but wanted to watch, so I just ignored the dumb internet. Also every time the president spoke was super embarrassing (I watched the daily covid briefings. I saw our president on live television say “we’re going to look at sunlight and light to cure” and “we’re going to see what we can do with bleach inside the body”) so ya know not a fun time from a political standpoint, a funny time in politics maybe, then again when is it, and when is it not, but that was funny but not funny ya know.
Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone who could have played Hux better than domnhall gleeson. It’s a shame how much he has wasted on Rise of Skywalker. His rumored arc in that Duel of the Fates script sounds incredible.
Unfortunately for Rhaenyra, her attorneys law license was revoked after the last dumb thing they said on twitter, and was likely involved in the illicit conspiracy to retain the presidency, which she lost in a free and fair election (as reported by our automoderator)
So Alys Rivers Disney Princess confirmed
Throw in reckless and I think you have him down
Yeah I kind of hate the term. In how it’s used I mean. From the people who actually know what it means it’s virtue signaling (keep in mind I live in Kansas literally no one out here knows what it actually means, and no one even uses the term in that way out here) or it’s co-opted by conservatives to mean “stuff I don’t like” and I have to admit, looking at it from a political advantage perspective as a middle of the road political neutralist who makes evidence based decisions, option one doesn’t look good and I know because I’ve been on the receiving end of the virtue signaling, and option two is just as bad because they’ve manipulated their main voter base into thinking woke is the stereotypes they’re all afraid of (which is an incredibly smart strategy)
Leviticus was one of the ones edited in the 1900s
Yeah I think the ballad is just more my style of story personally. Love the entire series but especially the ballad
Mods help us all.
Seriously though, it’s posts like this where we need a pycelle bot
Seven save us indeed
Yeah, I view Jace as a good character and I like him well enough, but he’s certainly not the brains of the black faction by any means. Daemon isn’t a scholar or the smartest person in that faction, but he’s brutal sort of in a show-Ramsay, cunning intelligence sort of way
Yeah I saw that post. Kind of weird that no one really realized Cersei literally thinks of her kids as extensions of herself that live to stroke her ego. Not very many mentions of the psychology of Cersei. It’s a twisted, psychotic version of love. Not only that, she is the worst version of indulgent and insanely neglectful. But Alicent, the effectively single mother who basically got no help once Otto was fired is getting blasted in the comments for (checks notes) trying her best. Hmm.
Now that’s really a shame, we can still make fun of them right?
Duck season, wabbit season, or geek season?
“My family is…. Overly complicated”
Interesting. An account made today, with absolutely no comments yet claiming to know what goes on in this subreddit. Very interesting indeed
I love nurse burn. It’s the one deck that always manages to piss off my friends. All in good fun of course
Exactly. Biden has a normal aging brain, ok, my grandmother is more energetic, but she says and does dumb stuff all the time we speculate ADHD from before that was a thing. She’s aging normally, and if you consider how she acts, it’s consistent with ADHD. Biden’s actions are consistent with a normal again brain plus a stutter, a speech impediment that isn’t horrible, he’s had his entire life. He’s old, ok, if that’s all the looney tunes of congress have on him after a many months long investigation then I’m sorry but there’s no way he’s as corrupt as Trump.
Now let’s compare. I can’t tell if this was actually a headline or not. I don’t trust MSNBC, but I know their business model. Their facts are skewed somewhat but not necessarily alternative and they are often presented in a “newscasterly” if that makes sense, matter, compared to Fox which would put up a headline like this for Biden unironically. The problem is I can’t tell if it’s real or not. That clues in how anyone who’s paid attention to Trump should feel. He’s clearly demented in a far more dangerous way than Biden ever was, sleeping through his own criminal trial, and saying things like, and forgive me because the quote is probably wrong “back then, I ran into Sinatra and he told me, and I told him I was a politician and I’m performing, he told me “never eat before you perform”” except the problem is Frank Sinatra would have died before Trump became a politician. He’s always been creepy and gross and ever since he became a politician he’s had this weird stream of consciousness speaking but Trump has really crossed the line into something along the lines of dementia. And that said I know how Trump speaks, I’ve always paid attention to him because I viewed him as dangerous, and he’s always had gaffes, goofs, odd tangents, the like, but at this frequency, no, there are more than ever, and that leads to stuff like this, where this is either a meme making fun of him, a meme making fun of msnbc, or totally real, and it’s hard to tell which is a problem.
Yeah I do noble court campaigns. This means that when nobles talk to each other, the players might overhear and the players have the option to just listen or interject. The only other common one is if the players are invited to a council meeting, the nobles there will sort of ignore them until they are addressed, and I sort of play out the scene for them through description, but if I already have dialogue I use it because I’m a fairly good voice actor so I can keep the players engaged (at least in my experience). That said, those are the only two typical occurrences that I typically think of.
I’d like to have a dinner with Viserys and Otto. We’d talk about history throughout the entire dinner.
The popular vote of a criminal court of manhattan 🥳
34 counts of falsifying business records. There. The crime is named.
I certainly hope so. A convicted felon in the White House is not a good look
I’m so glad this is a parody sub. The main HOTD sub is so lacking in irony and common sense.
I don’t recall any of Cersei’s kids raping people or killing their kin 🧐🧐🧐 the greens will say anything to make themselves seem less like the spiteful low cunning dwarves they are
