Yeah but the origins were right before y'all got rolling.

It should have died in like 2013, but it's beginning was before that run.

Currently in the Rose City area with family for the weekend. Sick.

Funny story. Back in 2016 I had a job at this little radio station in Illinois. During a production meeting the owner of the place proudly informs us that we've hired a new member to the on air staff. Says he's a really bright kid from North Carolina fresh out of college. I ask where he went to school, thinking UNC or NC State or something.

"Some little school called Appalachian State! Have you heard of it because I haven't?!"

The station GM who was a big college football fan, who knew I was from Ann Arbor, hired from WTKA, gives me this huge "oh shit" look. I just smile and say,

"Yup. Sure have!"

Same here. Not quite AHL, not quite NHL. Somewhere in the middle.

There's rumors Steve Yzerman is interested in him since the Trouba deal looks like it's fallen through for Detroit.

Grew up a Wings/Panthers fan so here's my perspective. I love Ekblad. He was my favorite Panther until they traded for Tkachuk. That said, the dudes best hockey is behind him. Hes got a bad injury history, and it's painfully obvious watching him play. He's lost his legs and is slow as shit. His offensive abilities have diminished. He has a really hard time with positioning and it shows in the amount of breakaways he gives up.

He still shows flashes of what he was. There were a couple of plays he made in the finals where he made a great play to keep McDavid from getting a chance, and he did alright on the PK. That said, there's no chance in hell I want to pay him 7.5 even for a year. Panthers imo would have to retain a little, and idk if they're going to want to do that with them still working out a deal for Lundell, and wanting to bring back Tarasenko.

It was awesome. I realized that part was coming up and thought, "I wonder if anybody else does that?"

Entire crowd: OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Me: Yeah, I'm definitely with my people.

Ive had the exact opposite experience. I'm currently governed at 65. I love it because I hit cruise in the right lane and chill. Generally traffic is going faster, so other than the occasional grandma going 55 down I-80 or Prime truck, I don't have to worry about getting around anybody. I just pay attention to my mirrors and let off when the guy governed at 67 wants to pass.

Meanwhile when I could go faster I constantly had to switch lanes because of the people like current me governed slower.

If you're in the mood for a deli sandwich, can't beat Ernie's in Oak Park.

Their TikTok stuff just randomly hit my feed one day and I had to try it. So glad I did.

Which is nice because I needed Goldie yelling "let's go home baby" after wins.

Amaranthe comes on.....floats.

For real though I absolutely love the chorus of The Score. Elize mixed with the drums. I also love in Digital World, the almost background 'ohhhhhh" after "You can never die and you'll never grow old." Helped that I thought I was goofy for always signing that out loud until I saw them recently and the entire crowd did it. Also controversial pick, but one of my favorite songs by them is Boom. When GG goes "Hold up, let me put my shades on", it's always felt like "oh shit here we go!" to me.

The only thing that helps my brain process that decision is that we reportedly weren't going to take Hughes period.

Fucking stupid either way, but it at least helps me swallow the idea that Kenny liked one guy over another and was just wrong.

Was fine with that until you said Larkin, then I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Just because vanilla and mint chocolate chip are both flavors of ice cream doesn't mean they're the same.

I think he's a big reason why Raymond took the jump he did. It's like Kaner came in and Raymond went "oh shit that's how you do it", and was lights out for the second half of the season. Happy to have Showtime back, mostly to help guys like Raymond.

Ah yes. The classic "both sides" argument.
