Thanks and I completely agree. I knew going in that this would be extremely niche, especially in it’s current form. Still I wanted it to exist so I decided to build it anyway.

I honestly didn’t investigated that route too much. I had some ideas but they were a bit convoluted so decided against them for now. It seems like a fun research project so I think I may end up eventually looking into it down the line.

That's a pretty low number in terms of expenses. Do you factor in transportation into this number?

Also, what kind of gear do you carry with you and what countries/cities/towns did you spend your time in?

I wasn’t sure my super experimental concept was going to work. It kinda maybe almost works.

It uses your own music videos to create gameplay by taking elements from both the music and video to dynamically generate the gameplay in the form of a shoot-em-up.

If you would like to give it a try please wishlist it on steam:

Sorry I don't understand. So it's 90 days every 180 days? Can you please provide a source for this as I am unable to find anything online. To be on the safe side I might just limit my time in Egypt to 90 days or less. Thank you.

Great thanks. Will keep searching. I haven't found anything on the official site yet regarding re-entry (past 90 days) but that gives me hope.

Egypt: Understanding Visa rules for USA passport holders? 90 days?Middle East

I am considering flying into Sharm El Sheikh from Rome.

I believe I can stay a maximum of 90 days if I am understanding the VISA rules for USA citizens correctly? Does this 90 day reset after a certain time of leaving Egypt?

Anything to know about the Sharm El Sheikh? I've seen videos stating you can get the visa on arrival to Cairo airport for about $25 usd cash? Is it simple and the same at all the international airports or should I come with different expectations?

Thank you

Not sure what you mean by border? Do you mean if I'm crossing by car? This time I will be probably using the CBX bridge.

Got it. I assume you mean at the Tijuana airport and by form you mean the FMM form?

How to get immigration / passport stamp if flying from Tijuana (CBX) and going to CDMX (AIFA)Question

Last time I flew out of tijuana into cdmx I didn’t get checked by immigration (I first crossed by land from San Diego) but later when I boarded another flight during my stay in Mexico they made me exit the airport (causing me to almost miss my flight).

I want to avoid this. I know I am risking only getting 15 days, I would prefer to get 180 days.

Where would I need to get my immigration / passport stamp? I am assuming somewhere in the Tijuana / CBX airport?

I am assuming the AIFA airport is not doing international flights yet so not sure they would give it to me there?

What countries would you visit in each continent to have a more "wholistic / diverse" view of each continent / the world?Question

I am not sure such a question has a good answer and I'm sure it would differ for everyone.

I believe all travel can expand your world view but I am interested in a list of countries that are as unique to each other as possible.

If you could only pick a handful of countries, say 3-4 at most, for each continent / region what would you pick and why? I am thinking the more distinct from each other, the more interesting it would be. I often ask very experienced travelers what cities/places they found to be more unique / stood out them. I've heard Bolivia and Tokyo mentioned.

Here could be an example to start things off but my list is based on ignorance, I am only starting to research this project:

Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia for South America.

Something like: Egypt, Kenya, South Africa , Ghana? for Africa

Something like: France, Italy, Greece, Romania for Europe

Something like: Vietnam, Japan, India, Turkey, for Asia?

Maybe 20 countries total to have a more holistic / divers view?

I'm omitting Israel, Russia and North Korea just to make it more feasible for the current climate.

What did you spend there and how long did you do it?

Can you please provide more details about your experience?

As isolated as you can be with still internet and other basics, where you aren't literally spending all your time "surviving". I guess I worded this wrong. I really mean surrounded by nature while still being able to have easy enough access to internet / food / electricity / etc.

What is Rawa/PuiPui?

Have you stayed somewhere pretty remote/isolated?Question

Has anyone stayed somewhere more remote and surrounded by nature and manage to still manage to make it work? What town/area and for how long? What challenges did you face? How was the internet situation?

Did you need a car / motorbike or were you close enough to the center of town to get any necessities?

EDIT: so not totally isolated but I suppose the most remote / isolated place you have stayed in that still had access to groceries (basic dining) and internet, etc. I don't mean totally away from civilization. I guess outside the big cities / towns. Perhaps the main theme is surrounded by nature.

What do you spend on your long term travel trips per week/month? Have you stayed somewhere remote?

For those who don't have friends or a special situation that offers them free accommodations. What are you spending all in (per week) and what are some of the tricks you've used to cut your costs down?

that's pretty cool. what race track was it and are you familiar with any budget options (doenst matter where in the world). it's on my list of things to do one day.

What have been some destinations that you thought would be cheap but ended up being kinda expensive?

I really want to visit Costa Rica but I keep hearing it's actually kind of expensive which is surprising to me so I'm putting it off. I need to research it more to see what kind of prices we are really talking about.

Any place you were surprised by that you thought would be affordable but actually wasn't? What prices were you seeing?

What is your reason for doing shoestring?

Do some of you do it to extend your travels to be a bit longer? How do you find the right balance that works for you? Do you ever splurge and if so on what?

How to apply online for 90 Colombia extension? Do I pay first or wait till approved?Question

I followed this guide but I am a bit confused, also not sure how long to wait or if I am supposed to do anything else (pay somehow?).

Sadly no since was a while back. But I'm curious, can you please list a few books that cover these two things (ideally in the first 1/3rd of the book), and are meant as "easy intros" /overviews of philosophy. Perhaps once I look them up I can see if anything stands out.

Thanks
