Look on the work away website and cool jobs website. There are plenty of jobs out there that will provide room and board as part of the pay, and you get to live in some really nice areas.
Surprised no one has mentioned Antarctica, with the scientist stations there. (Not sure what the town names would be but the population increases significantly during certain points of the year).
I had to stop at the Wall Drug Store after seeing billboard after billboard for hundreds of miles. It’s like the South of the Border place on 95 at the SC/NC border.
I see way to many of these builds with hollow cinder blocks. These are not designed to be used in this way. Like others have said, switch these out for solid concrete blocks. You aren’t that far along so it will be easy to do.
Jericho is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the World.
Was gonna guess the Columbia River Gorge. Isn’t Hood River the windsurfing capital of the World?
Good choices. I would add the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. This is North of Manzanar.
Great pics. Thanks for sharing. This has always been a dream of mine as well. And you could have totally climbed Aconcagua. It is actually the highest non-technical climb in the World I believe.
Pretty sure that’s the same train I used to. GPS took me to one after leaving Zermatt to go back to Zurich. I was wondering why it said ferry on the map lol. Cool experience.
Get some scaffolding. You can find some really cheap on FB marketplace. Use it for the project then sell it when your done.
Awesome. Glad to hear others enjoyed yesterdays weather.
If they don’t meet your income and/or other requirements then no. You might have already denied other applicants for not meeting those same requirements. Keep it standard for all then there will never be any issues with applicants claiming discrimination etc.
I think a lot of them get pushed through in spending bills. Presumably some senator from Missouri had an interest in doing so. I mean in all honesty it probably does increase tourism in some capacity. As there are many people that try to visit every national park.
You should probably visit it first and check it out to see what you would be getting yourself into. I don’t think it’s easy living by any stretch. You say you like the heat but it can regularly get close to 120F during the summer. Hence the reason why most people don’t stick around during the summer. There is no running water, no sewer, no electric, no services etc. It is essentially in the middle of no where “out of sight out of mind” outside of poor farming communities in the middle of the desert. There is a mixture of hippies, anarchists, criminals, drug addicts, homeless etc that live there. I’m not trying to bash the place but I’m being straight up with you. I checked it out a few years ago and I was shocked. I have traveled extensively around the World and it was seriously one of the most eye opening things that I have experienced. It was shocking that such a place could even exist in this country. With all of that being it was also one of the most fascinating places that I have ever experienced. Just be real with your expectations and be safe. Good luck
Keep the rentals. You already are collecting one pension and will get another one down the road. This allows for more diversified investment streams.
They will most likely drop off. I have had that happen to me as well.
How far off are you on the ceiling height? Couldn’t you technically cut the concrete floor, excavate some of it out, then pour a new concrete slab so it’s in compliance? It be quite a bit of work and expense not sure if it’s even worth it.
I was in Death Valley when it was 128 last year. Honestly it didn’t feel as bad as I thought it would, accept when you opened your mouth it became immediately dry. I really thought it would be higher on this list.
Your HT came out great. How many grafts was it?
