Very interesting recent research: Playing Tetris (or perhaps a similar game) for around 20 minutes in the hours after experiencing a traumatic event may help to reduce subsequent intrusive memories. Give it a shot!
It depends on what area of the body we're talking about. I have lots of back and neck issues but they don't stem from hEDS (as far as I know). But I'd recommend searching for a physical therapist that specializes in neck/back/spinal issues, especially if you're in that much pain. They'll be able to more accurately assess the problem and give you specific recommendations.
It's interesting to hear that feedback from your doctors. I thought braces and supports were pretty standard recommendations for people with hEDS.
To the best of my understanding, yes I can sue and would have a case based on when I found the evidence which affects the statute of limitations timeline.
It's been a huge financial impact on me purely for all the medical costs I've had to incur since then. Without getting into all the details, I believe I have a variety of evidence to prove physical damages incurred. Recouping some of that would be nice.
Second this! If you have a tree in your yard, you can throw a rope over a solid branch and hang toys with a carabiner. We've gone through probably 20 in the last 6 months because she loves it so much. I hang a high value toy at the top (see the cat toy here) to entice them.
Not sure if the same applies to dogs, but a doctor told a family member that had a seizure that you get one fluke with seizures. Sometimes it only happens once and it's no big deal. Hoping that's the same for you and your pup ❤️
Keep doing physical therapy. Never a chiropractor. Also look into orthopedic everything. Shoes, chairs, braces, posture support, etc. I had major neck surgery years ago and that advice from my physical therapist has made a big difference.
Omg and you're only 22!? I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all that.
Also - did your ankles make a snap crackle and pop sound when you walked? It used to snap every handful of steps when I was younger, and now it's every time I take a step in both ankles. God forbid I ever have to sneak away from an intruder. Game over.
All the theatrics with lethal injections. I don't even believe in capital punishment but for Christ sake just put a gun to their temple and get it over with.
Also idc how old you are, if you're such a patriot bootlicker then YOU go to war for the government. Leave the rest of us alone.
That is literally psychopathic behavior. No one who cares about you would ever do that. No angle where that is remotely funny.
It won't make things better, but I just want to let you know that fart spray technology has really come a long way in recent years. $12 and you can ruin everything he owns. Hope that helps ❤️

I've never seen a single good Taylor Swift lyric. I'm so tired of people insisting she's one of the best songwriters of our time. WHERE???
After she got her fans to send that poor girl from Ginny and Georgia massive amounts of hate and death threats because the show made a benign joke about a character dating more than Taylor Swift....
Her fans sent racist messages to a teenager for no reason and she never called them off. She is so gross for that.
NTA - you can and should kick him out by the end of the month at the latest. You're paying, it's your lease, he's obviously not willing to do the bare minimum while you were dating and he's not gonna step up now. He's a big boy, he can figure it out. You deserve your space.
I was a size 34I and every single guy I dated said they were more 'ass men' and literally didn't care at all.
Mine loves a garden hose SPECIFICALLY on the jet setting. Terrified of a small spray bottle.
Get all those wicked witches of LE in a group interview. The only thing faster than their mouths is how quickly they go through a bag of ❄️
YESSSS they've been such a game changer for me!! Amazing for PTSD if you feel like you're stuck in fight or flight.
If I'm feeling anxious then I take a few and it helps prevent panic attacks. If it does turn into a panic attack, then I have my stronger stuff like Ativan, but I need it far less often. I wish it was recommended more!!
It's hard to stay soft. It's also ok to be angry.
I'd recommend the podcast "something was wrong" it has a lot of stories from all sorts of women and it's been very healing for me.
I've been in a similar situation. It's so fucking hard. You're right, there's no way to describe that kind of anguish. I was basically catatonic for months. I feel for you, honey.
Take time off if you can, take disability leave if you're able to, maybe look into a support group. Take care of yourself and lean on support if you're able to. I wish I had better advice than just powering through. Also, you get to change your mind if you need to if you need to switch gears - whatever that may mean. You do what's best for you. The system is so fucked for victims.
For sure. My dad had a brain tumor and was given two months to live 15 years ago...which was news to me when I found out through the grapevine a few months ago. Don't worry, he knows how to cure cancer and did...for the third time. I wish I was fucking joking.
A few years ago he told me that he went to a neurologist and "half his brain is dead" which is more probable than anything else.
