Bourbon guy here, I buy the cheaper brands. I see Coole Swan has good reviews, I think I will get some of that. I noticed a bottle at my local LS that I might try but I can't find any info on it. It is a clear glass bottle that I believe says something like Simply Irish cream liqueur and has a V on it. The liqueur looks really white. 

I don't think I have seen the Sazerac (not that  I was looking for it), all the rest I can get, I haven't had Jefferson's or Uncle Nearest. I'm not keen on wheated whiskies. Out of Wild Turkey, I like Rare Breed and Longbranch the best. I usually stick with Evan Williams, Old Forester, Michters, Knob Creek, etc. I once paid $54.00 - $55.00 for a bottle of bourbon made in New Hampshire USA, and had to dump it, it was horrible. 

Ah, that's cool you're friends with the owners. I don't think I have heard of Rabbit Hole, my local LS doesn't carry it. I can't get Buffalo Trace or Eagle Rare anymore, and I have never seen a single bottle of Blantons. I don't have a vehicle, so I'm stuck with my local LS which is fortunately in the town I live in.

I am a smoker as well in both senses. I just like the notes found in bourbons/whiskies.  I had a bourbon (I forget what it was), that I picked up on a tea note that I have never picked up on before. 

Late to the post. I have the same exact lighter I got from Marlboro when you saved the "miles" from the cigarette packs a long time ago. I was messing around with it this evening and was able to get it to work. It is in fact a butane lit coil. It will light a cigarette if you have it very near if not right on top of the coil. I will stick to Bics or the blue flame torch lighters.

Bourbon guy here. For rum I usually get Cruzan dark (cheap I know). Tried a bottle of Appleton Estate 12 yr, not bad.  Got me a bottle of the  Plantation 5 yr. Artisanal ( Grand Reserve?) today and I like it better than Cruzan and Appleton Estate. I prefer bourbon though. "If it ain't Kentucky, it ain't bourbon".

I didn't go to college, and I didn't want to. At 55 years old, my "blackout" days have long gone by with. I still drink bourbon ("If it ain't Kentucky, it ain't bourbon") and will always love cider.

Never had it, my local LS doesn't carry it ☹️ , but sounds good though. I love cherries!  I discovered I am not keen on wheated whiskies.  Anyway I found some some EW cherry bourbon balls that I think I will be purchasing.  

Kind of unrelated to the topic, but has to do with a shop and I have a question, so here goes- I was at  Magic Mushroom in my area for lighter related items. Long story shorter, a gentleman there recommended some "flower" I guess , that's supposed to be better than Delta 8. I bought some. Anyway, I threw the packaging away, I couldn't remember the brand, and called MM to ask what the brand was or whatever so I could look it up and read more on the stuff, (I am old school and prefer actual weed). I was told they could not tell me that info over the phone. WTF? Why?

That's ridiculous (sp.). Things have changed alot from when I was in school. I graduated HS in '87 and have not been to one reunion. No desire to go!

For me it would be Rare Breed 1st, Longbranch 2nd, and a tie between Russell's Reserve and WT 101. I will have to check again if my local LS carries WT rye ( my memory is bad).  I am not keen on wheated whiskey.
