Another reason why supermaxes honestly suck, they want you to keep your drafted talent but honestly it becomes a hindrance to keep your own guys. Part of the Jays contract shouldn't be counted against the cap/tax bill. It becomes incredibly hard to build around our 2 stars because we drafted them and kept them, isn't this what the league wants?
