When I tore my Achilles playing soccer, I knew going to my local ER (Methodist) would be a shit show. A quick google search told me NYU has a Ortho ER (Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center - 301 East 17th Street New York, NY 10003). So I took a cab there and the extra time and cost for the trip was worth it. I was seen within minutes of arriving and had a cast\crutches, follow up appointments scheduled, and was out the door in less than an hour.

I’ve been using the NYU Langone system for a while and find it super efficient. The MyChart app is great for seeing test results and scheduling. Each doctor can see all your info so you’re not constantly repeating the same stories. The staff is always professional and pleasant. Can’t recommend it enough.

And the public changed their minds and voted for him a third time. He wasn’t made mayor by the city council. He was allowed to run again and the people ultimately decided they wanted him again.

He didn’t decide. The people voted for him. A lot of political roles don’t have term limits. In fact, the Mayor didn’t have term limits until after Koch (1993).

I asking why it was bad to have a good mayor for longer. Did you want Deblasio and Adams sooner?

Edit: LaGuardia also served three terms, btw.

Edit 2: Koch had three as well.

Meanwhile, a recent post on this sub agreed that Bloomberg was probably the most competent mayor since LaGuardia. So, why was a third term bad?

Edit - Not this sub. It was a post on r/AskNYC/

Who pulls the engine to do the mounts? I certainly didn’t when I did mine. It’s excessive and unnecessary.

Hey if you want to send it to NYC, I’ll make it a proper track car.

NYC creates its own “lack of qualified candidates” by requiring its own lifeguard certification rather than recognizing national programs from the American Red Cross or YMCA. Qualified and experienced lifeguards from anywhere else would still be required to go through the 40 hour program NYc requires.

I wouldn’t do this, OP. You’d lose cooling to the intercooler (turbo will run hotter) and cooling to the front brakes. The two oval shaped openings on the front of the S bumper have conduits behind them that attach to openings in the front wheel wells. Those bring air to the front brakes. Using the base bumper would restrict airflow at the expense of performance and potentially the longevity of your engine.

Thanks for checking in, South Carolina. Glad we got an opinion from the swampland perspective.

I’m an American who couldn’t find any friends or even friends of friends in my city of 8M to help move my manual Mini when I broke my leg. I’ve done the math.

Because on average far fewer drivers in the US know how to drive manual than automatic. Therefore, the audience of potential buyers is smaller. It’s just math.

Edit: which is a good reason for OP to sell to Mini enthusiasts who tend to know/value manual transmissions.

Put some 3M double sided tape under it and you’re good to go.

You’re way over thinking this. My food coop has tons of produce boxes outside on any given day. People use them to haul groceries home. Any grocer is glad to give them away. They probably went behind a big box store and grabbed a bunch of boxes. Having similar boxes also probably helps with stacking.

Just because I have a bunch of laundry in my Ikea bag doesn’t mean I get my clothes from Ikea. People reuse packaging all the time; especially small family farms trying to save costs on produce boxes.

A stock JCW exhaust is an upgrade for the S in terms or sound and performance (slight due to diameter increase). Can be cheap because people don’t want to store them after swapping to something aftermarket.

This I correct. I have a 2014 S. One front right tow and one rear right tow is standard. I just bought the rear bumper bar with the optional second threaded tow hook location on the left so I can run an extra tow strap on track days.

I can help you out. DM me.

From your post history, I assume you’re fixing your sim rig. I’ve been looking to do the same but right now my money is focused on racing my IRL car.

CrossFit South Brooklyn has great coaches. Check out “Starting Strength” with Jeremy. It’s not only for beginners as the name would imply. It’s a 3x5 program focuses getting very strong in the main lifts; deadlift, press, bench, squat.

Technically, but it will give a generic message. A BMW/Mini specific scanner like the Foxwell will give a more detailed code and message that’s more helpful in troubleshooting. Generic scanners can’t run BMW service functions either; like brake bleeding or maintenance mode.

Dashcams are a must in the city.
