just a tad surprised to see the same symbolism from 06 inside a fucking gacha game
though I cant deny the similarities between Kal'tsit and Shadow
- Immortals created in a lab far before the start of the game proper
- Linked to a brilliant scientist who created them which themselves have a close relationship to a major character
- Linked to a young child they protect (or atleast protect**ed** with Shadow)
- Part of an organization trying to better the world
- Their life goal is to protect humanity off of a promise
sure only one of them can use big rocks to become invincible and the other is a catgirl medic but

As much as I'd like to say this is slightly made up for by Mephiles, Shadow, and Silver being very well written, even that is soured by the fact 06's fallout led to Shadow and Team Dark being simplified and for the latter near-nonexistent, and Mephiles would probably have been in more games even in a cameo style role if the game was good, and Silver barely even had a chance to prove himself since his debut main title was terrible.
i have the exact same one as shown in the image as my lockscreen whilst my phone's home background is art of some characters from a gacha game i like (laugh at me if you wish)

i write fanfic sometimes and i have a severe brainrot/obsession over Sonic, the gacha game Arknights, and Metal Gear Solid
meaning that WHENEVER i think about fics and stuff i just think of crossovers between those 3 games

Zavok is Volgin, Cosmo is Sunny/Emma, Infinite is Skull Face, and Gerald is Sokolov
this has the horrific implication that Maria was The Boss (also the G.U.N commander from Shadow '05 is Major Zero)
completely unrelated but right under this post on my Reddit home feed i saw a pic of Espio the Chameleon from Sonic staring straight into my soul and it startled me incredibly badly

the music for Mephiles and the Egg Dragoon/Cerberus are personal favorites of mine despite being from 06
