I learned this from atomic clock Gene Hoglan. Put ankle weights on. If you're comfortable playing with them do some playing with them. Then when you need to do your fastest work take them off. You'll fly. Gene would play the easier songs on stage with the weights on then take them off during the hard song. But over all they will help even if you're not taking them on and off on stage.

What they did is they spent a TON of money sponsoring up and coming drummers while also developing a bunch of new stuff. So when the new stuff was coming out, they had an army of people they sponsored to show case them to the world. The products where high quality and the world fell in love and the rest is history. If they didn't pull that move sponsoring everybody they would probably still be on the same plane as istanbul

Hard hitting drums is pretty consistent with Sepultura especially in the snare drum department and the way he's playing here def reminds me of that a lot. I think its a stylistic choice we will probably continue to see if I had to guess.

For a long time I'd drink smoke and binge eat all at once as a " reward " and I've scaled that down to smoking something really nice and enjoying a small treat that legitimately fits in my diet and ill watch a movie. I get a nice reward and I'm not doing anything harmful. I know a lot of people will smoke and just let loose from munchies but I really think that has a lot to do with your relationship with food. If you can give yourself something and stick to it there is no reason not enjoy some weed if you ask me. Get some quality and smoking it is a 0 calorie tasty treat

I blow glass for a living and drum as a hobby and glass def has all of that and more. Its just really expensive and doesn't always lead people down the best path so I have a hard time suggesting it to people, but sometimes its peoples calling despite the difficulties.

What model of snare is this and what heads do you have? In the past I've had a hard time getting time getting the top and bottom balanced to each other with no ringing overtones and a trick I was taught when you're really struggling with that is to tune it up like normal but then detune one lug like a ton. Might sound crazy but I have 2 snares that where giving me trouble and that worked some how.
