Mods of /r/fragrance said to stop linking to past reviews in my fragrance review posts. They suggested I post a sticky on my profile to collate them and I agreed that was a good idea.

This is not an exhaustive list of all my reviews, which can be found on Fragrantica and Parfumo, just a catalog of my Reddit posts.

Chronological order:

Review of 60+ unsorted popular designer and niche fragrances, most prominently Xerjoff and Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

Full house review of Rogue Perfumery, an American indie house focusing on modern interpretations of vintage classics, through their most recent release Targhee Forest [as of Jan 2024]. Part 2 contains reviews on 3-of-4 discontinued fragrances, which owner/perfumer Mr. Cross graciously offered samples of when I purchased full bottles of my favorites from the sample set, and post-Vetifleur releases.

Reviews on a wide selection of vanilla perfumes, along with a few other random oddballs, in my search to find something vanilla-centric for my collection. I've sampled quite a few more since then, many either edited into the bottom of this post or in my future Maison Tahite review.

Full house review of Essential Parfums, a French niche house focused on affordability and sustainability while giving free creative reign to highlighted perfumers, through their most recent release Fig Infusion. I sampled Divine Vanille during the Vanilla Gourmand sampling, which I find comparable if not superior to similarly priced designer options.

Full house review of Unique'e Luxury, a Turkish luxury house championed and sold by Beverly Hills Perfumery in the USA, through their most recent release Mangonifiscent [as of Jan 2024].

Review of the Prada Les Infusions line, all nine currently available at retail (at the time of posting): Iris, Iris Cedre (aka d'Homme), Mandarine, Fleur d'Oranger, Amande, Rose, Mimosa, Oeillet, and Vetiver.

Review of most presently available MFK scents I didn't try back in my original niche sample dive, through their latest releases the Cologne Forte collection. The house of Francis Kurkdjian, French perfumer of Armenian descent, whose career took off as one of the world's most prolific perfumers after creating best-seller Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier in 1995. Also Dior's creative director as of Oct 2021. As a man, I tried everything except the ones explicitly marketed to women.

Review of the Le Labo Discovery Set and any additional samples I could get my hands on. Le Labo is a New York-based luxury house whose main gimmick is personalized compounding labels. They also produce a variety of scented home products. The Discovery Set included most of their worldwide fragrances. It did not include their latest release, The Matcha 26, nor any city exclusives.

Review of the Parfums de Nicolai Discovery Set, plus Vanille Tonka not in the set, and a sampling of other fragrances centered around Yuzu (including Nicolai's Eau de Yuzu also not in the set). Founded by Patricia de Nicolaï, niece of Jean-Paul Guerlain who was the last family master perfumer of the eponymous house, after facing gender discrimination in taking over the family business.

Full house review of Maison Tahite, through the first release of the Coffee Collection [as of Jan 2024]. I'm not a fan of coffee, and the chocolates are hit-or-miss IMO, but the vanillas are some of the best in the biz. This also prompted me to try even more vanilla and cocoa scents. Kind of a "Seeking the Perfect Vanilla Gourmand" Part II, plus some legit cheapies and one additional cocoa almost as divine as its price tag exorbitant.

Full house review of Goldfield & Banks, a niche fragrance house created to spotlight the natural ingredients found in Australia, through their latest release Ingenious Ginger [as of Jan 2024]. Purple Suede and their oud fragrance, Silky Woods, were not included in the Discovery Set but I obtained separate samples for them. The latter I tried way back during my Vanilla Gourmand sampling frenzy.

Full house review of Les Indémodables, a French luxury house, through their latest release Ambre Supreme. They claim dedication to high quality raw materials (most notably real ambergris), significant quantities of natural extracts and absolutes, plus control of their own complete manufacturing process. I tried Vanille Havane back during the Vanilla Gourmand review, an elite boozy tobacco fragrance with hints of chocolate & vanilla gourmand notes plus a prominent amber base.

Review of the 13-piece Mizensir Discovery Set from Luckyscent. Mizensir is a Swiss house founded in 1999 by Alberto Morillas, one of the industry's most decorated master perfumers of all time known for best-sellers such as CK One and Acqua di Gio. Mizensir is his passion project to release personal creations alongside his family, without operating under the restrictions and guidelines of other creative directors. Many of his Mizensir releases leverage his access to Firmenich's captive odorants to create very experimental scent profiles.

Review of the Gisada Prestige Line Sample Set, including the hyped Ambassador collection and the house's first releases, Uomo & Donna. Gisada is a Swiss house founded in 2013 by two brothers with a passion for perfumery seeking to create "modern elegance combined with Swiss quality," though their first releases weren't until 2016. I couldn't find much more information out there about them.

Full house review of Strangelove NYC, an American luxury house, through their latest release fallintostars. Founded by Elizabeth Gaynes in 2014 who, after working with Givauden to produce sustainable organic crops for the fragrance industry, wanted to start her own perfume house operating under the same principles. All of their releases contain real oud. Handcrafted in small batches by master perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, a decorated industry veteran most known for best-sellers A&F Fierce and Ralph Lauren Polo Blue. Does their quality justify their exorbitant pricing?

Review of the Dame Perfumery Everyman Cologne Collection, a 7-piece sample set of all their male-targeted releases, plus a handful of other samples from the house. Dame Perfumery is an Arizona-based "modern American perfumery" founded in 2014 by Jeffrey Dame, an industry veteran who wanted to start his own creative endeavor with his son and father. Extremely affordable, and a nice guy in correspondence.

Review of the Jacques Fath 12-piece Fath's Essentials Discovery Set. The eponymous Jacques Fath was a classic French designer born in 1912 in Paris, who released his first fashion collection in 1937 and became a crucial influencer of post-WWII haute couture. A long list of his students went on to become well-known designers in their own right, such as Hubert de Givenchy, Guy Laroche, and Valentino Garavani. While Fath died of leukemia in 1953 and the house continued to function until 1957 through his widow, the brand was relaunched in 1992 to revive their tradition and history, persisting through numerous ownership changes. Additionally, I finally got my nose on a few hyped vanilla scents of yesteryear.

Full house review of Maison Rebatchi, a French niche house, through their latest release Ambre Blanc. The son of Algerian immigrants growing up in the suburbs of Paris, the eponymous founder Mohamed Rebatchi brings his childhood passion for fragrances to life through "emblematic raw materials" and collaborations with "some of the greatest perfumers of his time" to bridge the spirit between France and the Near East.

Full house review of Loumari through their latest release Porthole. A French niche house, Loumari aims to combine French high perfumery with noble Middle Eastern heritage. Available exclusively from Jovoy Paris or direct from their own website.

Full house review of City Rhythm Fragrances through their latest release Austin (Texas) "Live Music Capitale." An American indie house founded by Niles D. Ramadhin, a poor child immigrant from the Caribbean to Manhattan. Smelling good helped him find the inner strength to persevere toward a brighter future, and it's this sense of "hope, possibility, and self-belief" that he aimed to capture in his first creation, named in honor for the eponymous New York City borough. A man passionate about fragrance, City Rhythm is Niles' celebration of the simple joy fragrances bring to our daily lives.

Review & retrospective of my collection before my big technically Spring Summer vacation and a lengthy break from discovery set sampling.

Review of the Santa Maria Novella 8pc Eau de Cologne Discovery Kit. An Italian niche house, Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella can trace its roots back as far as the year 1221 when the original church was built in Florence. It housed a botanical garden of herbs and medicinal plants at the time, and it is considered the oldest pharmacy in the world. Their first claims of perfumery begin in 1533, in 1542 they opened a shop to the public for the first time, and still today they maintain a very vintage aesthetic to their variety of scented room and body products. The original shop now doubles as a museum, an important cultural and tourist destination.

Review of the Acqua di Parma 10pc Discovery Set. An Italian niche house born in 1916 with the release of their groundbreaking original Colonia, a light and refreshing scent in contrast to the heavy and bombastic fragrances of its time, they enjoyed high status through the 50's before slowly fading into obscurity. They were rescued in the 90's by three enterprising entrepreneurs before being acquired by French multinational giant LVMH in 2001, however they continue to proudly make all their products exclusively in Italy.

Review of the Eight & Bob 6pc Iconic Fragrances Discovery Set. A French niche house, Eight & Bob has... well, an elaborate and obviously made-up origin story involving JFK and French snobbery. Allegedly started in the 1930's before being forced to curtail production due to WW2, the original formulas were carefully preserved and faithfully reproduced with the current iteration starting in 2012. Who knows their real tale?

Review of the Thameen 12pc Discovery Set. A British niche house founded in 2013 by Basel Binjabr, the son of a perfume industry veteran who developed a great passion for fragrance, each of Thameen's releases are inspired by some of the world's most precious jewels and the colourful tales behind them. As both jewelry and fragrance have been symbols of status, wealth, and beauty throughout history, Thameen aims to bring them together in a unique and luxurious way using high-quality, carefully-selected ingredients.

Review of all 36 Happyland Studio fragrances. An Ohio-based American indie house opened in 2019, perfumer E.J. Wells was a former punk musician from the late 1970's who peaked in exposure in the early 2000's with a passion for fragrance on the side. The house is named after his former music recording studio while many of his fragrances are named after music projects he was involved in, or in homage to, or direct collaboration with other artists. Mr. Wells unfortunately suffered from health issues and tragically passed in Semptember 2023, in his 60's, putting an end to any new releases from the house. For now, his sales crew continues to fulfill new orders.

Review of the Electimuss 20pc Discovery Selection Box. A British niche house, "founded in 2015 by Luke Granger and Jason Collison" according to their webpage despite their earliest releases actually being in 2013, Electimuss means “to choose the best” in Latin and is inspired by the epic tales of Ancient Rome. They claim "obsession for creativity, quality and the quest for the best," supported by all their fragrances being 25-30% Pure Parfum/Extrait releases at relatively low prices compared to other high-end niche houses.

  • Andromeda's Curse (Coming soon!)

Review of the 5pc Gourmand Perfume Sample Pack (plus a freebie) by Andromeda's Curse. A small indie operation selling on Etsy, they make "Perfume Oils for the Darkly Inclined." 🧙‍♀️

  • Kyse Perfumes (Coming soon!)

  • Alkemia Perfumes (Coming soon!)

  • Possibly coming later? ... Carthusia, Fragonard, Olfactive Studio, Gallagher Fragrances, Maison Matine, Abel.
