Yeah, I'm still learning but this strategy has definitely helped. I'm back down at small position size. I sized up too quickly and blew up last month. I'm currently scaling in and out with 4 or so orders at 25 shares. If I can stay green for a month I'll kick it up to 50, then 100, then 200, with a final goal of 4 @ 1000/1500 or so. Self control and managing my revenge trading has been the hardest part. Lifting or running at lunch has definitely helped. And I'd say overall, trading itself has been great for my emotional wellbeing, as it forces me to come to terms with the negative aspects of my personality. If I don't, I'll keep blowing up.
After hitting your target you could scale down your size, tighten your stop losses/be pickier about entries and quit for good once you give back more than a rolling 25% of profits. That way if the market's good, you're not completely missing out, but still protecting most of your daily profit.
