Yes, a different approach works for me. I could not do some conditioning work like jumping jacks for a long time. I'm not a runner so the exercise bike has been my go to each morning.

When I was training powerlifting I'd be in the gym 4 days a week for 1.5-2 hours. At 51, and with 2 shoulder injuries, I am not sure I'll get to that again. Who knows. But 3x week for about an hour had been helping me a lot. I hope to try PL training next year.

I was a competitive powerlifter who did pretty well before surgery (some state records). In 2020 I got a partially torn labrum in the non-dominant side. PT and a cortisone shot helped. Happy to be rebounding, I then somehow (cannot recall how--no incident) developed weakness in the dominant side shoulder. Could not lift the bar off a squat rack one inch. Freaky. I also had achy pain at night.

Turns out I has a full tear of the supraspinatus. Surgery in late summer 2022. Got back to lifting in 2023. But it's slow in large part because I've now had 4 years of "this." So keep that in mind.

I have been making progress recently. My coach focuses on slow progress and getting back into shape because we don't want to re-injure. It's frustrating to be sure. I would like to do another comp some day and am OK with not hitting the prior numbers. It's more for myself to feel normal again.

I would guess that your chances of reintegration more quickly are good since this is the only injury.

You can't. I had an MRI that showed inflammation but the Dr did not know it was a full tear until surgery.

I hope you are able to have a repair. My shoulder is much better now, almost 2 years after surgery. I am still not as strong as I was, which is frustrating. But I can move and get stronger.

Oh I could not raise a barbell up off the rack, could not toss a ball, or anything for that matter. I had discomfort typing. I had little pain because there was nothing attached, my surgeon explained.

$150 and no repair. Replace it is. Thanks for your help. (looking at Trane vs. Bosch)

An update--After another effort contacting the tech (Invoice: "Replaced the shredder valves, recharged the system with 16 lb. of 410 refrigerant. refrigerant $45 per 1 pound $ 720.00, Labor $ 275.00"), we contacted someone else who was stunned that this guy put that much refrigerant into the system. He will stop by tomorrow.

I'll definitely be looking for someone new. May have to get a new HP. Not sure yet.

Lol. I expected the mechanical thing that broke to be fixed when I got a bill saying it was fixed. Paid but not calling again.

The work for the Feb call was done in March (we used the back up gas heat) and the bill was sent in late March. After the supposed fix, we noticed that it was still cold in the house (and it was well above 40 outside in March), so the heat pump should have been working. We tried emailing our response and got no response, just the bill emailed to us. We responded that it's still not working and got no response.

I have what I think is a tear and am on antinflammatory meds ....and have much less pain. I'm not doing anything that causes pain but it is important to keep moving as frozen shoulder can occur.

I've been referred to my surgeon. Got an appointment for next week.

My right is the dominant one so at least it should be easier to deal with if I need it.
