i respect your opinion but i also disagree. i like the poetry too much of katherines love taring the boys apart, Elena's love bringing them together and i feel like ending with damon, regardless of shipping delena or not, it solidifies that poem in a sense. bc she turns lines like "its always going to be stefan," and "it's okay to love them both," and twists katherines and damons meanings, gives them power in a different light. regardless of if the boys are right for her, shes totally right for them. we can debate on how but elena's love and care for damon helps stefan see the humanity in his brother and her love for stefan and hell her little brother/cousin brings back the spark of bonding he seems to have had with stef. plus personally im into frienimes to lovers XD but thats more just bias here
