When JJ Reddick starts talking about flare screes or Collinsworth goes on about how random guard A made a great play no one noticed, is that not evidence that the average fan is just along for the ride and does not really understand the nuances of the game?

She's perfectly adequate to me. I don't really pay attention to who calls the game or get worked up that they are maybe rooting for/against my favorite team. She seems to favor good players/teams, which may rub some fans the wrong way, but complaining about announcers, how good they are, how biased they are, etc. is a waste of time and energy.
