Yeah I rip for fun too, it just reaches a point where what’s inside isn’t exciting commensurate to the cost. I wouldn’t buy an EvS booster box either, I’d rip cheaper product like sleeved boosters.

With Booster Boxes and ETBs you’re paying for the scarcity of that specific product not what’s inside. But I understand people are in different economic situations and I hold no hate for OP. There’s just a lot of other products I would spend that $800 to rip before Evolutions.

If they’re in Canada/US 151 is easily obtainable at the moment. Costco in Canada is flooded with 151.

I can find 151 Japanese booster boxes for $75-90 canadian shipped from Japan. There was a huge reprint recently.

You can buy a master evolutions set for like 500 USD. Haters or not, ripping this product makes no sense.

A booster box is a bit excessive. I wouldn’t want to build a deck from any one single set regardless.

I understand how you feel. I’m limiting myself to the greninja boxset and two booster bundles. You should be able to buy most of the bulk for dirt cheap.

It has definitely thrown me off, I run Keiran and Defiance band for a similar reason. And if I can stack enough damage over time even if I lose a dragapult the devolution can wreak absolute havoc on the following turn.

Yeah played well it can definitely be countered. I hold a lost vacuum and tech devolution just to deal with stuff like max belt. Tech evolution and the forest seal also help if I can’t setup the pidgeot fast enough. That all being said a better player will likely still beat me regardless of deck matchup.

I can ignore bad side content if the main experience is solid, but in the case of FF16 the main story was interrupted by bad pacing and horrible main quests that felt like shitty side content.

Playing the game makes opening more enjoyable imo. A small amount of packs per new set is a decent way to enjoy the hobby without feeling like you’re wasting money.

I find Neo Upper Energy to be a great clutch card for late game or turn 2 knockouts but with draw power (pidgeot, forest seal, bibarel, drakloak) you shouldn’t have too much trouble setting up reg energy.

Funnily enough people recommend cutting down to 2 drakloak but I find they add a consistency if you brick your other draws that help pull you out of a bad hand.

I find it too easily beat by Dragapult ex, which itself isn’t S tier. All it has going for it at the moment is quick energy spin up and draw power with pidgey, which is too easily stumped by other decks.

Of course! These cost me about $2 in foam board and $6 for the frames.

Seeing them above my desk everyday is awesome.

I’m in the minority but I say keep it and add it to a display. The slab will keep it preserved well for being such a special card.

I make display frames from the dollar store using photo frames and foam board, they look fantastic on your desk or hung up.

I like the art style, the silly perspective difference, Blaziken is the best final evolution of the Hoenn starters, and the colours pop like crazy.
