Hi! I'm 33F, also from a warm country. If you would like to grab beers, let me know! 🍻

Gosh, That should be a deal breaker!

I'm saying it as someone who grew up with parents that had opposite values regarding money and lifestyle.

And no, their marriage lasted for a long time, until I was almost 30. That was when they finally got divorced. Yes, I'm saying "Finally".

Their whole relationship taught me what I did not want in a relationship, which is why I married someone with the same values as me. That was highly important.

So in other words, he is projecting his father relationships on himself? And because of that, he has no problem protecting himself while putting you at his mercy? Honestly, it sounds selfish and a tad misogynist.

You quit your job for your relationship? He wants you to be a home stay mom for years? And a prenup?

Oh boy.... I feel like this is gonna end up at the bestofredditorupdates sub, not in a good way... 😣

Any chance you can just go back and take you old job? πŸ€”

People keep saying in this post how easy it would be for you in case of divorce, but I would really recommend you read the stories of foreigner women who have been through it...

Being married to someone hasn't really changed me, but getting a pet did πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

There is Copenhagen salsa academy, it's extremely good for complete beginners. I know because I tried salsa before in South America and it was incredibly hard, but here they make it incredibly easy to learn.

Gosh, I loved his response to the honeymoon question!

For about 2 weeks... Lol
We are married and it has been about 5(?) years that we are together πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

All his first dates looked like a HR interview... Lol

He is soooo awful...... The fact that she keeps going back to him blows my mind 😭

The whole discussion about her make up.... Lol

I was wondering about that! Except I didn't see the food! Lol
