I'm a nanny and newborn care specialist. I sanitize nipples and if you use Dr Brown's bottles, all those little valve parts which get nasty, plus pump parts if requested by moms. That's it! Regular dish soap and hot water with a bottle brush is enough for the bottles themselves.

What brand? I had a terrible time finding maternity bras recently, until I was able to go try on in person (32H currently at 7mos pregnant, was previously 32F)

Second Shyloh! Literally the best, worth every penny.

Ulta at the waterfront. You want Shyloh, everyone there is pretty good but Shyloh is the best. @hairbyshyloh on Instagram

I think something can be unusual without being weird.

Millet has a much milder flavor than amaranth.

Aldi pays better than this and you're less likely to get shot.

Oh babe. Do not feel bad about asking him not to wear perfume. It's not a necessary hygiene product and it is physically hurting you. Start with the perfume and try to narrow it down from there. If he cares about you, he won't want you to suffer.

I was waking up in sneezing fits at my bf's house for a while. I had him switch to fragrance free detergent and now I don't have a problem with that at all. My ex-husband once bought a lip balm that gave me a rash. He threw it out immediately. This is basic stuff - don't make your partner sick.

Right, pregnant people are usually vaccinated for pertussis around 30 weeks.

Source: got boosted a couple weeks ago

You can get genetic testing around 11 weeks I think. Otherwise, no.

My sister called me a child abuser when I gently suggested sleep training. I'm a nanny and newborn care specialist. It's fine to say you don't want advice! It's not fine to be a bitch about it. And this is far from the first instance. She often asked my advice about her baby, and then would tell me all the reasons I was wrong. Why even ask?

We have a long history of her being subtly abusive to me throughout our childhood. Insulting my expertise was just the last straw.

Fascinating. I'm in southwestern PA myself, which often has a lot in common with the Midwest, but we certainly don't have that. (At least I think we don't? I had never eaten Chinese food until I became a vegetarian at 13. With celiac I can't really eat it at all.) Anyways, it sounds good in a sort of hearty, stick to your ribs way.

You know, I really wanted to go to a professional conference in Portland in the spring and I just couldn't swing it financially. I've heard it's gf vegan paradise. I swear it's my first post baby vacation destination.

More importantly, wtf is hot lettuce 😅

Yes? That's the point. I'm looking for fake meat that is also gluten free.

I've heard mixed things about a lot of those brands, especially Kind and Lara, but target's version, the good and gather brand, is certified GF so I usually get those instead. Made good are certified. I like them, but they are definitely a cookie.

Yep, I did an iui so it was easy to know when to test. The two week wait was a killer! I think I did my first test at 12 days.

Yeah I would love a dino nugget! This has been a funny post - a shocking number of people failed to notice that this is a vegan group.

I am glad you have escaped ❤️ I'm happy not to live out that way anymore too

Pregnancy heartburn thanks you. (So does my postpartum spice loving future self)

He can't do paprika because it's a nightshade. Chives bother him too. So far all he's come up with is sumac occasionally. Everything causes reflux for him. He had an endoscopy recently and we're hoping the doc has some ideas to treat the damage.

Normally I would love this idea! Pregnancy has me asleep all the time 😅😭

I didn't realize lenape was that bad. I'm so sorry to hear it.

My childhood bully was a cop there the last I checked.... So good luck? And everyone I've known from Apollo was super racist. I'm sorry you're going through this. I think you should move.

That really sucks.. He talks all the time about how nice it would be to eat food with flavor again 😩

That's a tough one. My boyfriend has trouble with garlic and onion, on top of having celiac, and it makes it next to impossible for him to eat anything premade or processed.
