The spicy tostada was bomb! I'd love to see it again

Yup those make sense, but I'll be honest I feel like those subclasses overlap a little too much with Paladin with their spells. Opinion on Lunar? Having Shield on the subclass spell list seems really nice.

Spoilers for Curse of Strahd

Sure, but I can ignore the hexblade dip since I have a 25str. More so looking for advice on these last 2 levels since I can't respec.

Appreciate the input. I definitely really like stacking the d8s, especially with the sun sword and divine smite both tagging on an extra d8 for undead targets.

However, I'll be honest, frighten has only come up maybe twice since the start of the module. And we're all pretty fine on Wis saves, especially if anyone in my party is in my aura of protection.

That being said, the charm immunity has saved us way too many times, which is why I'm hesitant to switch from devotion to vengeance.

Paladin Optimization: CoSSpoilerD&D 5e

Currently running a level 9 Mountain Dwarf Devotion Paladin, using the sun sword. We're going to level 11 instead of 10. Dueling fighting style.

Stats: 25 14 14 12 14 22.

I took Sentinel and Shield Master, DM is fine with me making the Shield Master BA before my attack action.

Party is a dao chainlock, chronurgy wizard, forge cleric (has the holy symbol of ravenkind), and rune knight/giant barbarian.

For RP reasons, I would be able to change my subclass to Vengeance or Oathbreaker if I want. I'm specifically looking for recommendations for my next 2 levels. I'm bouncing between: - continuing paladin for the extra 3rd level spell slot and another 1d8 on attacks - fighter 2 for another fighting style (maybe protection), second wind, and action surge - sorcerer 2 for some cantrips, some spells known, extra 3rd level slot, metamagic for another slot (unsure on subclass, possibly clockwork, lunar, or wild magic)

Water washable resin still needs to be cured, the only difference is that it can be washed with water instead of isopropyl alcohol.

You can cure prints without a dedicated cure station by putting them in the sun for a few days in an emergency, but a cure station, preferably one that heats up, is absolutely necessary.

It sounds like you need to do a little more research before getting into resin printing, it's incredibly unsafe to jump straight into it if you don't know what you're doing.

I don't know of a way to separate them unfortunately, hopefully someone else can weigh in.

Since the two seem to be very similar in opacity, I think you can treat them the same (I only ever treated clear resin differently because it needed a shorter exposure time for the same results).

Make sure you post-process your prints using the process you would have for the ABS like resin; water washable is also washable with isopropyl alcohol, but not the other way around.

Keep in mind, it's not gonna be fun delaying extra attack from hexblade.

In terms of cantrips, you have pretty good reasoning. But I'd still recommend a ranged attack option, and eldritch blast is the best one in the game. If you're vehemently against it, toll the dead is good too.

Side note, the sun blade in Curse of Strahd is a sentient weapon, so it's not eligible to be a pact weapon through Pact of the Blade. Of course, your DM has final say.

That's a dazzle dragon, which can be bred using the Moon, Sun, Lightning, and Dark elements. If it was in your gifts it was probably from a daily login.

Grad students are not allowed in GLC anymore unfortunately, our only on campus housing options are Tenth and Home

Hopefully someone else can confirm, but I think the student health fee you pay as part of the mandatory fees covers office visits to Stamps, I’ve never had to pay or give them my insurance for it.

Tenth and home has furnished units. They’re listed as “2 person single split” and about the same price per semester as other on campus apartments. I think housing pushed all grad students into TAH units for this school year, I’m not surprised that they’re continuing with that. The location might not be ideal for everyone but I’ve never had an issue with it and the in unit washer dryer and mail room in GLC make up for any qualms I would have had.

All of them! Tons of fun, I got to try out a bunch of games that I wouldn’t have otherwise

Certainly very reasonable for your own spells. I think it becomes more vague when you consider spells outside your class. You, as a warlock, might be able to recognize that a character is cursed and should have "Remove Curse" cast on them, but would you know if that removes a curse from just the character or from the cursed magic item as well? Food for thought

Ah, good point, I've updated the post. I appreciate the input

Metagame-y Spell KnowledgeNeed Advice: Rules & Mechanics

This feels difficult from both a DM and player perspective, but I'm hoping the good people of this subreddit might be able to weigh in. At which point in the following list does it feel too metagame-y for your character to have knowledge of (shallow or detailed)?

  • Spells on your own spell list:

    • That are not prepared today
    • That are not known
    • That you are not high enough level to cast
  • Spells on a party member's list:

    • That you've seen them cast
    • That you haven't seen them cast (not prepared, known, leveled enough)
  • Spells not on your/party's lists:

    • Spell scrolls
    • Spells you've seen cast
    • Everything else
