Wasn't he basically a decent midfielder who had injury issues and failed to make the leap to that expected "next level" by age 25-26, who they then decided to use as a half back?
To be fair, Mitch did show a lot of genuine flashes up forward over a period of time.

Why then (over time) not adapt your playing style to the personnel you have, or recruit to fit the playing style you want?
Still can't quite work out how a team can have so much attacking talent like the Dogs do, yet struggle so mightily to put a decent score on the board each week.
Doesn't it in a way speak to the foundation and structure in place, that a script can be torn up and re-written on short notice, and they can still come up with a competent show on time?

Kuminga is fine. He might not ever be a superstar, but he'll at least be a serviceable NBA player for a long time. Still many years away from even entering his prime as a player, and was a known project coming in, so he's still got time IMO. The only "urgency" or "behind schedule" to it was for continuing the Warriors dynasty, but that ship has well and truly sailed now anyway.

Him on 2nd/3rd option usage (like we saw in 2022-23) will be much more efficient and effective offensively, and with more bodies and size next to him, he should be able to roam defensively like the DPOY-level guy we've seen he can be as well.
