I think it might actually give her commercial career a mini comeback. In terms of fanfare that could extend her legacy? I think that’s already gone with her working with Dr Luke again.

I don’t see it happening with the current idea the Eisners and the council have to make a new stand as well as housing and conference facilities. It’s gonna take years for any bridge/station upgrades to come. I can’t see it happening before 2030, like the article says there’s not even planning permission right now.

I think the bridge has become an excuse now, especially as we’ve heard from the club they won’t build a new north stand unless we get to the Prem. If we wanted 5-7k seats alone we could do it, the Fratton end and north stand could be extended. Goldsmith av could close for 30mins before/after the game to solve that instead of a bridge.

The Eisners have done a fantastic job with Fratton Park and the new gantry is another great addition but in terms of capacity I can’t see any big upgrades coming in the near future. If we get relegated I can see the stadium and academy becoming a stick to beat them with rather than a positive of their ownership.

I can see us getting relegated tbh, anything above that is a good achievement. We overachieved last season despite it being the weakest league since Covid.

Positive is we never lost to a top 6 side last season, we also had a horrible time with injuries and still persevered and avoided our usual new year slump. We have one of the best young managers and sporting directors too so we’ve recruited efficiently and had a good mix of leadership and tactics at league 1 level.

Negative is we picked up around 10+ points alone through last minute goals which won’t be sustainable this year. We also haven’t kept a clean sheet at home since 2023 and I have doubts if Will Norris is a good enough shot stopper at championship level. We also have to hope Josh Murphy can replace Abu Kamara’s dribbling ability to create chances. If we can get Robertson back too we’ll look better.

I don’t think the club is really cut out to survive in the championship tbh. Our owners don’t spend big on players and aren’t interested in making our stadium bigger to give us the resources to. Our recruitment has been slow so far too. There were rumours they were interested in selling the club for the right price last year so I could see us being sold if we stay up and someone offers 50million. We also haven’t produced an academy player in 5 years so we have no homegrowns we can sell for pure profit.

Exciting times ahead but it’s gonna be tough, can’t wait to get back to Fratton park and get behind the team. The championship is a very different place from 2012.
