OrangeFren.com - instant exchange comparison with support for atomic swaps

Hey guys.

Over the weekend I've created OrangeFren.com.

OrangeFren.com homepage

The key functionality of this website is to let you quickly compare the exchange rates of instant exchanges trading Monero, Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Currently, the site queries about a half a dozen instant exchanges, none of which require KYC or a signup.

OrangeFren checks some of the best known ones such as FixedFloat or ChangeNow, but also smaller ones such as MajesticBank. I'm also planning on adding many more in the future.

Naturally, none of the exchanges we check are on this subreddit's avoid list.

For the BTC->XMR trades OrangeFren also checks atomic swaps and will let you know if there's a better rate available by doing one instead of using an instant exchange.

I hope you like the site and I'd love to hear your feedback about it.

Please note the service is still a work in progress and only a part-time project for myself, thus it might take me a while to improve it.

OrangeFren cost more time than money to develop, nonetheless if you'd like to help keep it online by donating then my Monero address is: 4Ao6CHvncYtbDa47VAsGE8aikjfhg5K1wEAN8R6vzz3VjTjzpBdj2mQctmy1txemPjiPuToCDC7FfazFnYCypa1FN6uJtsZ

Interesting. We've been warning of amount-correlation attacks as a possible way of identifying people and turns out they actually caught someone with this technique.

I'm pretty sure this is because they integrated with Binance a lot, and I'm guessing their payment gateway was linked to Binance. So when Binance delisted so did Travala.

One thing you can do is try booking via their support email. Then they use the NowPayments gateway, which is part of ChangeNow which supports XMR

OrangeFren.com is basically a search engine for various offers across platforms. Right now we show offers from Bisq, Bitnik, Relai, Stealths, and a trusted P2P cash for crypto broker.

You could use Bisq, which is P2P and the platform doesn't do KYC (just like LocalMonero), but the seller can still request it (again, just like LocalMonero)

Bitnik is an OTC trading desk. They support XMR, but they will require you undergo KYC. However, they won't report the KYC data anywhere (they're not part of CRS). They also work globally.

Relai is Bitcoin only. (For now anyways, I invited them to meet to discuss this, we'll see what the future brings)

Stealths sells prepaid cards for XMR. But this is just an off ramp

The broker - only for huge amounts, only in major cities, not in the US, only for paper cash.

We should have two P2P alternatives, that are very similar to how LocalMonero worked, integrated in the coming days. There is also Haveno which just launched, but it will probably take a while before it's a useful option for everyday use.

Yes. Or Bitcoin on LN if you can buy it directly

I'd stick to services that are part of the community. Such as my very own OrangeFren.com

Good idea. I'll try to make it happen. Do you know any suitable venues that accept crypto in either city?

I'm using my USDT to move your USDT to someone else. I feel like I'm very, very close to being a money transmitter

Last year, we did an event in nearby Liechtenstein and one in Zürich.

This year, Lugano.

Where should we do the next Swiss event?

Another (less likely) option is the team behind LocalMonero asked some lawyers for a legal opinion with respect to whether or not their business model was legal and they got a response in the negative.

AgoraDesk hosts a canary here: https://agoradesk.com/canary They should update it in a few months, watch for changes and you might learn something interesting

Then the various "Bitcoin maps" out there, is literally just a bunch of ATMs. Very few stores or restaurants.

This is actually very annoying when we try to organize a meetup somewhere. We always want to do them in venues that accept Bitcoin, but 99% of the maps is either ATMs or business that stopped accepting Bitcoin a long time ago.

We now have a geoinformatician on our team so if we get bored we'll take a shot solving this issue

🆕 Updates to OrangeFren.com

We have recently added tabs to find providers for swaps between fiat and crypto 💱

We currently list offers from Bisq and AgoraDesk 💔.

If you'd like to get a prepaid card 💳, without KYC, that you can add to your Google Pay or Apple Pay wallet and use around the World, then we also added those.

Want to sell more than 10k USD in crypto in exchange for physical cash 💸? Without KYC 🥸? We've got you covered. We recently added contact info to a trusted broker to the website. You'll find it under the name "OrangeFren Broker Partner" when searching for offers to sell crypto

Please remember in many jurisdictions trading P2P is legal, but you have to declare selling this much Monero, Bitcoin, or any other crypto for cash. 👮‍♂️

🤝 OrangeFren Affiliate Programme

Lastly, we're excited to announce the OrangeFren Affiliate Programme 🤝

The programme works by you providing us with your existing ref links to any of the services we list on the website. Then, when a user visits OrangeFren.com using your link, we'll replace our ref links with yours for all the services that you provided us your link for.

This means, your profit share is 100%! And we never hold custody of your affiliate earnings.

You'll find the link to join the footer of OrangeFren.com

For now, the best way is to get another crypto such as bitcoin and trade it for monero. You can use OrangeFren.com for that second part

Thank you for being the best on and offramp for years! 🧡

It's a cool idea, but many websites ban non residential IP. The optimal solution is Tor, then a residential proxy, hopefully near your Tor exit node

Sure, though, this can be easily circumvented through the use of Tor

It is. You can find many exchange that won't do KYC and will respect your privacy on my website OrangeFren.com

If you want to be extra safe then make sure to break up the amounts a bit. For instance sell a bit of BTC for XMR on one exchange, then the rest of the BTC for XMR in another exchange. Then sell some fraction of your newly acquired XMR for BTC on one exchange and rest on yet another

They would not be able to find your ETH wallet. However, if you traded all the ETH for XMR in a single swap and are now sending that all of that XMR to Kraken in a single tx then someone could correlate the amounts.

For instance they can see you sent $169 worth of ETH to an exchange. Then some XMR address sent $169 worth of XMR to Kraken. Good chance it's the same guy.

You can avoid this by breaking up the amounts and using different exchanges for each of the amounts. You might find my website OrangeFren.com useful in this task.
