The lever is your deck raising level. You will push it forward I believe raising the deck, once in lock mode you then change deck height with the dial. I would mow at 3 to 3.5 or higher. But looks like 3.5 is your highest. Then you release the lock with same level. Allowing the deck to go to whatever height you choose

If you have to kow that height due to it being “stuck” you will Have to mow more often

I think that is your problem. To confirm you say stuck?? So you placed the deck in lock mode and moved the dial, the dial didn’t move???

Has the under deck been checked? Blade’s sharpened? Aka the general maintenance of it? Belts?

What height you mowing at? Is the grass 8” long and you are at 4” height?

They didn’t want to confuse ppl into thinking it was a CaFe meal.
