From what I read on the subreddit, this gun is terrible and falls apart after the shortest time in use. But after watching some reviews, ghe only issue brought up was the fact that it may break if you insert mag while the hammer isnt cocked, and if you cock the gun before inserting mag, it should be alright. Other members of my team also said that the gun is generally fine and shouldnt break too fast. So whats the truth? Is it really dogshit and breaks after a couple of mags, or is the issue I mentioned the only one present, and if I avoid doing it, the gun will be fine?

Is it that much worse than other WE pistols? I couldnt find other affordable Hi-Powers other than this, and it breaking every now and then, although I think one of airsoft shops has spare parts avaliable. Also, what are the most common failures with it?
While AKs are indeed reliable guns, they are only so if manufactured properly. While African and Middle East countries produce AKs, they are usually terrible in quality and arent as reliable as AKs made by more capable countries like USSR/Russia or former Warsaw Pact countries when they were still making them. Kalashnikov Concern made a series of videos regarding the issue, showing that AKs made by less developed countries (or simply by bad manufacturers in more developed ones) suck ass and arent half as reliable as proper made AKs. I would have linked them, but it appears that their channel was deleted from YouTube, and videos on their website dont have English subtitles. Because of this, Id say that lesser factions would have better luck repairing old pre-War weapons instead of making shitty AKs that work way worse than pre-War weapons, and the NCR is beyond this "low capability" nations, they have the Gun Runners who have several facilities producing a good quality weapons, like their M16s, armor manufacturing, railroads, etc. Theres no reason for them to produce low quality AKs if they can make good quality M16s, and other lower level factions wont be able to produce a good working AKs that are better than whatever pre-War weapons they can find
