He will be here until the end and be pissed off that the sun expanding is a “bullshit mechanic that wasn’t explained.”

It takes forever getting in, and and y’know you spend like six and a half hours and then, y’know I can’t even get through it, I can’t even finish the movie. I have never seen the ending.

I won’t lie, I saw this picture and thought it looked pretty neat. Could I join the party 🥺👉👈

A few weeks ago, I was watching a premier league game and enjoyed it. After a bit of thinking I honestly had a good enough time that recently I have found myself wanting to watch more love soccer. I think this came at a bad time because it looks like a lot of leagues are done for right now. Am I wrong about this though or is there a lull in games until the Olympics?

Alright you beautiful motherfuckers, listen up because I am about to tell you all the true underrated weapon. The Musket.

Now I hear you “but random poster. It’s a gun, guns are all over media right now.” I agree that guns are all over the media but look at what type. Modern day weapons like the AR and AK dominate the screen. Historically I think WW2 guns are the only ones that get close to as much portrayal. Bolt actions and WW1 guns are getting a bit closer but not as much as modern or WW2.

Muskets, however, have a very limited amount portrayal in media. I think with all the media we have both historical and fantasy, we see a big use of Middle Ages and early renaissance with plate armor, then a jump to a more modern era. Now cowboy films fall into this but a majority of the movies shot are in a post civil war setting where there are no muskets as they were replaced with self loading rifles like repeaters or trapdoor guns. (Side note, the trapdoor Springfield is a gun that I love. Look it up.)

Where does that leave us with muskets? Not really used as often as they should. The reason for this I think (and I got this off of a YouTube comment that I agree with) is that because we are so used to guns in our media today, we find anything gun related boring and it removes the “fantasy” aspect which I think is a wrong mindset as you have a few things you can play around with. First one that comes to mind are matchlocks. A gun where you have a literal rope burning to fire a gun, that is VASTLY different from modern guns. Wheel locks is a mechanism that spins and causes a spark to happen to shoot the gun as well, I kind of compare it to clockwork. (Note this is a really big simplification on this because I don’t know much about them. My favourite is the flintlock where you put a piece of flint and it strikes metal to set off the gun. Lastly there are cap locks which is a more modern representation.

I think muskets (for me I’d love more flintlock love) should be used a lot more as there is a lot you can do with them as they function like shot guns. Put a slug in there, buck shot, bird shot, or buck and ball. (Buck and ball is fun because you put a large ball in front of buck shot). On top of that, you can turn it into a spear with a bayonet. We really need more media that uses this that focuses in using the 1600s-1860s more in terms of both history and fantasy media.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

If you want to have a cool event to go to. I think sometime in July the family that owns the Bavarian Inn puts on a reenactment where people reenact what life was like in the 1700s. I have reenacted there and it was a great time.

DON’T YOU TALK ABOUT ME YOU SON OF A BITCH!

Today was a bad day to be literate.

I don’t follow the community and such so I am not sure what he changed. What did he do to it? Not doubting you but genuinely curious.

You’re a beautiful person. I love these references.

I never would have expected that honestly. Feels like that was a tiny trend for series that were normal and then were made edgy.

I am going to say this is canon because I don’t give a shit so fuck it. The meme of reverse flash jerking him off at speed so that it would be embarrassing to him on his date sounds right up his fucking alley.

I love the tallgeese so much. It’s my favourite non-gundam mech in the whole franchise.

This sub is going to CRUCIFY me for this one:

The Evangelion series. I haven’t really watched it but from what I have read on it, seen videos on it, and what I have heard from friends, this just does not seem like the show for me.

Do you not want to watch the Godfather because it insists upon itself?

I’ve been looking at this mod and it seems fun but I do have a question. Does Louisiana in the mod start off with a city with a multiple building nodes and a school? Or does it start like how it does in vanilla with a town and no place to start a school?

That’s what my mind was thinking about when V came out. I was like “no way Kojima isn’t crazy enough not to have the first game redone in here as a mission!”

Any reason why he stopped? I know he is done but wasn’t sure if it was a burnout thing or a real life thing.
