Again, all context considered, it’s pretty well known, and even documented, the asking price for Trae is higher than most teams are willing to offer.
I don’t think we need Zach Lowe’s words to come to that conclusion.

Yeah so the Wizards brought Jonas Valanciunas in at $9.5M but Tyus Jones is an UFA with a $21M cap hold. If they bring him back at that number, they’d be borderline with the luxury tax.
There’s talk about a Tyus Jones sign and trade but I don’t think the Hawks would receive Jones in that. I would keep on eye on them though for maybe a multi-team trade that involves the Hawks.
