Whenever he's beaten powerful people (such as the main villains of basically every arc), it's because he was given a power-up that's let him do that, he got help from his friends, and/or his opponent was holding back or weakened. Those aren't signs of his normal strength, and it's taking those victories out of context.

I just read the Teen Titans story "The Judas Contract" for the first time. The traitor's motivation (or lack thereof) was disappointing, though Deathstroke is absolutely disgusting as a result of this.

I also started Jonathan Hickman's Secret Wars after spending a decent amount of time building up to it. (I read Hickman's runs on Fantastic Four, F.F., Avengers, and New Avengers in preparation) I'm about halfway through at this point, and I'm interested to see how it ends.

Up until the end of Wano, there were only a handful of characters who had bounties in the billion range, and all of them were either Emperors (the most powerful pirates in the setting) or high-ranking members of Emperors' crews.

Even after Wano ended and the Warlord system was dismantled, only had bounties that high, in addition to Luffy and the other characters who already had bounties in the billions along with Mihawk's bounty being re-established. They don't just hand those kinds of bounties out - the 20 or so who have that kind of bounty (the eight in the spoiler tags, Luffy, Mihawk, Roger, Whitebeard, Kaidou, Big Mom, Shanks, Blackbeard, Katakuri, Marco, King, Queen, and Jack) are mostly elite pirates with major accomplishments under their belts. (for Whole Cake Island, Luffy was credited as the mastermind behind an assassination attempt on Big Mom and actually escaped from her home turf, in addition to beating Cracker and Katakuri)

They could go a similar route to what the Bayonetta games did, where the timing of her Witch Time is tighter, but her Wicked Weaves (Smash attacks) are more powerful. She plays similarly to Bayonetta in the source material, so she'd make for a natural echo fighter.

I think Judith's Tombstone is fine, between the large stalk requirement and the fact that it slows him down once he's in tier 3. (plus, with his two Iridescent add-ons equipped at the same time, I like how it mimics the original movie by having him stalk the survivors for an extended period of time before going on a sudden burst of violence) Tombstone Piece seems to be the problematic one.

Enjoy!

(Funnily enough, if that's Tom Baker's sixth season on your shelf, those were my first two classic seasons as well, in that order)

You could actually believe that people would think that Clark Kent and Superman were two different people, and Christopher Reeve does an excellent job at going between both identities within the same shot while making it seem like they're both an act that Clark puts on.

It's a shame that two of the same killer won't be possible - I was hoping to have a game where Chucky and Tiffany are the killers.

Dredge and the Unknown seems like it could be fun.

As far as licensed killers go, I'd love to play a match with Scratched Mirror Myers and Chucky, either as a survivor or as one of the killers.

I'm guessing that playing the anniversary event shouldn't make a difference, since now the only criteria for Merciless Victory is the number of kills/sacrifices if I recall correctly.

Maybe one of your matches didn't register for some reason; have you tried it again since completing the fifth game?

After he's fully stalked someone, and a set amount of time has passed (60 seconds? 120 seconds? Not sure what would be balanced), the stalk meter for that survivor slowly starts to build back up. (I figure having this only activate when he's fully stalked someone would help to keep it from being abused)

I figure that way, he wouldn't be able to permanently run out of his power like he currently can, but the process is slow enough that he won't constantly be going into tier 3. (and maybe, for the sake of balance, the Tombstone add-ons disable the recharge feature when they're equipped)

It's worth noting that Warner Bros. at least has a partial stake in the Friday the 13th series through New Line Cinema, so that's why Jason's in there.

Yeah, he's in Shin Megami Tensei 3 - he's even in the modern re-release, though you have to get DLC to access him. (an Atlus-owned character, Raidou Kuzunoha, takes his place otherwise)

Add-ons and offerings should be fine, but are you sure that all of the perks that you equipped are universal ones? (ones that aren't tied to any specific killer - there's a list here) Or that you only have three perks equipped?

Alternatively, maybe it doesn't count if you're playing on the anniversary mode - I'm not sure, since I didn't try to get the achievement through that mode. (I'd think it would count - a Merciless Victory is still a Merciless Victory regardless of the mode that you're playing, and I'm pretty sure people could progress in the achievement for escaping eight times with no perks equipped when other modes/modifiers were active, like My Little Oni)

You're allowed to like both series. Kishimoto and Oda are fans of each others' work as well; when Naruto ended, the final chapter of Naruto paid tribute to One Piece, and the One Piece chapter that came out that week paid tribute to Naruto.

Dragon Ball Z was the series that got me into anime; I like One Piece more, but I still gladly went to see the Dragon Ball Super movies in theaters when they were showing in my area. Just because you like a series more than the series that got you started, it doesn't mean that you no longer like the series that got you started.

Either Yamato or Carrot (or, ideally, both) joins the Straw Hat crew.

(both of their endings felt super rushed, with Carrot's in particular feeling out of character, and it made me question why they were included at all when Carrot's desire for revenge against Perospero went nowhere and Yamato's entire goals/motivations were more or less undone by a sentence fragment from Kaidou about how Yamato's Devil Fruit is based on a mythological protector of Wano that wasn't mentioned before or after that point)

Yeah, they've got a few different lines. I even tried sparing some while clearing the base to see what would happen, though they just disappear. (I was hoping they'd hang around the base)

His popularity for Smash really picked up around the end of the first DLC pass (an announcement related to the Switch version of DMC3 happened to be on the same day that the final character in the first fighters pass was supposed to be announced), but by then, all of the DLC (with the possible exception of Sora) had almost certainly been decided on.

At least they've worked with Capcom for Smash a lot (Capcom got new characters in the base games for Smash 4 and Ultimate plus Smash 4's DLC), so there's hope for the inevitable next Smash game.

Demand for Dante in Smash didn't really pick up until it was announced that DMC1-3 were coming to Switch, though in one of the last Smash presentations, he was acknowledged as being a popular choice who couldn't make it in for one reason or another (likely poor timing).

Capcom characters have been in Smash for several games now, so hopefully he gets included at some point down the line. (Though I'm guessing he'll be DLC, given that they tend to save the third party characters with more complicated gameplay for DLC)

Plus, Byleth's a Nintendo character, so it's a very different situation.

Yeah, the Bracelet of Time - the description says that an Umbran Witch named Eva made a pact with the Legendary Dark Knight, and it resembles a similar item from the end of DMC1.

Sam & Max from the point and click adventure games of the same name. (though I think they're technically comic characters, or at least that's what they started out as)

The War Doctor was a mix of Christopher Eccleston not returning, the Eighth Doctor not seeming like the type to do the sort of things that the Doctor was implied to have done during the Time War, and BBC wanting a bigger name for the 50th anniversary.

Also, for what it's worth, the Curator did say that the Doctor would revisit some older faces, even if it happened much sooner than anyone expected.

I believe so - she mentioned that he has twelve faces (which would be 1-11 + the War Doctor; her list of photos ended with 11).

EDIT: found the clip - the War Doctor is in between 8 and 9, shortly after it cuts away from Peter Capaldi.

That was filler added to the anime; Juvia had already been introduced in the manga (and fallen in love with Gray) by that point, so it was just a reference to that.
