Yeah, he didn't break into the league till he was 29.

Well - if you're the GM you're probably never losing your job if you make it to the second or third round of the playoffs every year and constantly have success with your young players coming up into your team.

The Canes are making money, and if the Hockey gods carve a path of injuries in the ECF and SCF then they're good enough to take advantage.

That being said, you're right: they'd have a higher chance if they were swinging for Tarasenko, Hertyl, or Henrique at the deadline rather than just sort of reaching for even more organizational depth.

I literally thought that the Oilers traded Mcleod for future considerations and was pleased it didn't cost us any picks.

Idgaf is Savoie turns out to be a bust. The asset in this trade was the cap space we made along the way.

This issue in Toronto really has never been about their depth not showing up.

It's that their super expensive stars vanish under the bright lights.

They want to compete.

Savoie is either a top 6 difference maker in the NHL or he's a bust. There's not much room for a 5'10 center to become a bottom 6 player.

McLeod is a certified PK player with great size and skating, and some upside offensively if he can mold his game.

Buffalo also has like 3 other undersized centers in the pipeline.

Great trade for Edmonton - A-.

Fine trade for Buffalo. C.

I'm from PG and follow the Cougars.

You can feel good about this pick.

Hey Buffalo fans: McLeod still has potentially elite upside if he has a breakout offensively. But that being said - you got a guarenteed solid 3C who can be your 1c on PK minutes. Incredible skater. Not much of a scorer, but is an okay play maker.

Overall he's a solid player that can play depth minutes in a top 6 or live at 3C and you can feel great about that.

Savoie was and is always going to be either a top 6 forward or nothing. He either hits big or doesn't hit at all. I think at this stage he's going to be an NHLer based on what I've watched during the WHL playoffs, but it's never a sure thing.

Most betting apps do this.

Unfortunately, that's an awful medium to use for this info as it's clearly predatory and usually you only have access while there is money in your wallet.

It's his full-time job. I think now that he has a system and a set up, it's pretty simple (not easy, but just straight forward).

I've been setting up to make my own hockey content, and I feel like once you get in a rhythm like he has, it's pretty straightforward. Though, he does minimal edits on his videos.

Not much of a podcast, and he does general around the league stuff, but The Hockey Guy is incredible.

Detroit Chicago Winnipeg Montreal Anaheim SJS LA Kings Van and Toronto.

High crime cities, don't speak French, and the last five are all because I want my money to mean something.

Your team offered him 8x3.

That's ludicrous.

There's not PR masterclass here, they spat in his face. A serious offer would have been at least 8x4.5 for a hometown discount.

That's your fucking captain. He won multiple cups for you.

Seems like they had a good reason not to call back.

I'm talking about in general.

It's crazy that his wife goes down on him once a year. That's crazy. Just trying to figure out why.

Do you never go down on her?

Like what am I reading... Isn't the whole point to make eachother feel good?

The opposite of "if you can't beat em, join em"

Holloway is a great forechecker.

If he improves his first touch this year that second line of Holloway - Drai- Arvidsson would be incrediblely dynamic.

I used to go to Oilers games all the time by myself. If the boys couldn't afford to go or didn't want to, no big deal. There's 15k other fans there anyways.

He's a good PK player. Incredible skater, great at recovering loose pucks in open ice. Strong on his stick.

Not much of a board battler. Won't fight for position in front of the net. Not willing to take a hit to make a pass.

Overall he's a great bottom 6 player in my book, but only if he's surrounded by tougher guys.

Nurse is as good as any 5 - 7 mill defenseman in the league. He's overpaid, sure, but the Oilers are saving millions in other guys' contracts right now.

Nurse would be L2 on any team. He's a good defenseman, but his chemistry with Ceci is awful.
