Her approach is not uncommon from that part of the country. I find it incredibly irritating when Representatives propose laws merely for the purpose of “getting people to talk about the issue”, rather than trying to seriously implement a law. AOC did the exact same thing with the New Green Deal which was deliberately light on details because she wanted people to “talk about” climate change but was never at any point, serious about making a law about it. I’ve never seen anyone from California or the west coast for that matter, propose a law merely for the purpose of sparking a discussion. It’s a complete waste of time.
