Yeah, I can see that.

I live in Midtown and absolutely love it. I like being close to my gym, city services, lots of bars and restaurants. I've never felt unsafe where I live. Weather is hot but it does cool down at night. No ice or freezing temperatures in the winters. I spend a lot of time in my tiny backyard. Traffic is not as bad as Austin. Food is just as good as Austin probably because I don’t care for BBQ that much. If it gets too hot, I can drive an hour to Yuba River or two hours to Dillon Beach or Bodega Bay or Lake Tahoe or even San Francisco. It’s a fantastic place for young people. Farmers market here is great too. People with kids are mostly in Folsom or Roseville but they aren’t walkable.

I am not from the US btw. I lived in Austin for 5 years and now Sacramento. I don't understand why Austin is so much popular (in real life not reddit) over Sacramento. Both places are state capitals with hot weather but Sacramento is better than Austin in every way. Can someone explain?
